Cisplatin and gemcitabine side effects- any thoughts please?
Hi everyone I have just had my first cisplatin and gemcitabine treatment and am hesitant about doing the next this Friday as the side effects have been awful. Nausea and the headache from hell so I didn't want to move. Ondansetron didn't help much and I'm wondering if anyone else has had these side effects

Hoping the third time is the charm
So Ibrance did not work. My oncologist switched me to gemcitabine and carboplatin which also has not worked. Cancer markers have not increased but my lymph nodes and nodules on the skin over my breast have gotten bigger. She has now switched me to taxol which I took for my original breast cancer and

Feeling really lost and scared.
My husband did have CLL but had Richters Transformation to Lymphoma. He has been having Rituximab with Gemcitabine and Oxaliplatin. However yesterday his Consultant said his platelets are too low (50) to have the 6th and final planned dose. She does not plan to do a scan for a few weeks, has no other

Devastated with scan results
So I had a wonderful holiday in Gibraltar last month and felt pretty good but came back to a routine follow up appointment where my Oncologist thought we should have a scan. The results are pretty dire with half my liver involved and one kidney has ballooned due to countless other lymph nodes and sites

Immunotherapy after 4 months has worked other more chemo any suggestions?
I was diagnosed with stage 4 NSC/squamous cell lung cancer in Aug 2016 and treated at Clatterbridge Wirral. I Had 6 cycles of chemotherapy of cisplatin + gemcitabine then 12 days of radiotherapy by end of 2016. Oct2017 started pembrolizumab. Last week told it’s not working. So back to Chemo of Gemcitabine

Gemcitabine
An update. Last week I went for my first round of Caelyx and had an anaphylactic reaction to it which meant an over night stay in hospital. I had an anaphylactic reaction to Paclitexol when first started on chemo back in March and became allergic to Avastin too. I am now about to start Gemcitabine. It

Hell all. I am new to this site. Was diagnosed with OC in 2015. CA125 was 1265 and cancer staged at 4 which was later changed to 3C. Had chemo and optimal debulking op. At the end of my chemo CA 125 was 8. What a relieve, but it was short lived. I had a recurrence 11 months after finishing chemo. I

cisplatin and gemcitabine - hoping it gets better!
Dear All - hope you're all in the best place for you to today and able to enjoy the sunshine at least to some degree. I'm not 100% sure why I'm on the above combo and intend to find out at my next oncologists meeting (as when he told me at the last one it was all such a shock that the cancer had recurred

Carboplatin and gemcitabine
Hello All...... I believe I posted a week or so ago about my recurrence after a 27 month remission from Stage4 OC. My doctors thought I'd be eligible to enter a study, but as it turns out, I am not. I will start on Carboplatin and gemcitabine on Wednesday. My previous treatment was the Carboplatin
