Do we have to have a laproscopy?
Hi all, I've been referred for an emergency laproscopy for my pain. I suspect endometriosis. But the bigger Q is: do I need the surgery? I guess yes if it can remove the endometriosis and relieve the pain, but is it necessary for being treated for pain? I feel like I need a diagnosis to be taken seriously

Hi all. I have Lymphodema in both my legs. I had total knee replacement 4 weeks ago, my knee is swollen and my lower leg and foot is is swollen. My skin is very dry in those areas. Obviously, I have swelling because of the surgery but also because of the Lymphoedema so decided to get back to my ritual

QoL: Moonrise at a liminal place No. 2
I painted three versions of this mixed media work, being drawn repeatedly to the reference photograph. It is a place called Cwmtudu (pronounced Coom-ti-di to my American and, I imagine, most of my English friends here), and here we are looking down jnto the valley from a rocky outcrop on some clifftops

Hi everyone, hope you’re all doing well! I finally have my laparoscopy tomorrow after it being cancelled two months ago. Does anyone have any last minute tips or tricks for pre and post surgery? And can anyone explain a little bit more about what happens when you get to the hospital and the process

My Covid vax appointment has been set up near my previous address (I moved 3 years ago) which is a good 30 min drive cross country and it’s timed for late afternoon. My surrounding neighbours all have theirs at their (and my) nearby GP surgery. My last vax 2 years ago was set up at a mass vax centre

Eye surgery
my doctor told me he wants to do surgery on my eye to straighten out a crease on the retina membrane. At the same time he said he will do a procedure that might eliminate the need for the injections I’ve been having for AMD. is anyone familiar with this?

Hi Firstly thank you to everyone who has offered their support previously since I was diagnosed with AF last November. Over the last few years I have been trying to hold off a total knee replacement. (TKR) I was walking more to strengthen my muscles to support my knee and managed to ditch the brace

Not sure of next steps after recent endometriosis diagnosis
Hi, I have suffered with heavy periods and pain during sex for years but I was told it was due to fibroids. In December 2020 I had emergency surgery to for a ruptured ovarian cyst. They had to remove my ovary as it was too damaged. Last October I started getting a dull ache down the left side of stomach

T3/T4 HRT Meds before surgery?
Hello lovely people, i hope everyone is managing to catch up on the long overdue sun ;) Sadly, my gynaecologist has found an ovarian tumour which needs to be removed and biopsied. Recovery from this will take between 6-8 weeks. I am in really good health otherwise but do take 150mg Levo and 45mg Liothyronine

9 Weeks Healed Post-Circumcision - Aesthetics, Rubbing 'n' Redness & Swelling
Hi all, here again with another update on my healing. 9 weeks today since my full circumcision!!! I can’t believe how fast it’s gone, despite it feeling like it was taking forever at the time… but isn’t that the way with any surgery? Before I get going, special thanks to those experienced members who
