From cancer to Kilimanjaro
I underwent a huge
debulking
surgery
and a round of chemo. I am pretty lucky and am now Ned with no further treatment. To celebrate getting better I wanted to repay Ovacome back for all of their support and help that they give and continue to give.

First recurrance, advice needed
I Have had
debulking
surgery
and 8 rounds of chemotherapy and in July 2022 until today was on Niraparib. Today I was told my CT scan in early June 2023 shows a dark spot on my liver and a smaller dark spot on my spleen. Both have appeared since a CT scan in late March 2023.

Bladder Prolapse post hysterectomy
I had full hysterectomy and
debulking
surgery
in December’22 I have now developed a bladder prolapse recently. I am considering having a ring pessary inserted. Has anyone any experience of this? Will I be able to feel it? Will it affect my bowel movements? How long can it stay in place?

How do I stop constantly worrying about recurrence?
My mum had her
debulking
surgery
last Wednesday and was discharged from hospital on Sunday afternoon. The doctors told us that they got all of the cancer, which I am over the moon about, however I can’t stop worrying about the cancer coming back.

Small Increase NODE
She has since had Taxol/Carbo and major
debulking
surgery
. She was NED for 2 years. She then had a small increase in her external iliac node and she received 6 rounds of doxil/carbo. At this point her CA125 was 63. She was NED for 1 year and since OCT 2022 she has been on watch and wait.

Surgery, treatment & ptsd
I’m having my
debulking
surgery
next week and when I was in hospital 3 weeks ago it triggered my ptsd really badly. I’m looking for some support or advice on what could help me to get through this next, bigger scarier surgery. Many thanks 😊

March end of last year and hence was asked to do PET CT scan full body by my surgical oncologist this month (since it will be 1.5 years today). I did the test day before, got the result yesterday and met my onco today.

just home after the debulking surgery…
Hi everyone I had keyhole surgery as planned which I’m relieved about! It took place on Thursday morning, and I was discharged today (Saturday morning). To recap, they removed uterus, remaining ovary and tube, omentum and cervix. This was done at a University Hospital under their Enhanced Recovery

Chemo Side Effects
Then, I had
debulking
surgery
followed by four more chemos. My CA 125 had dropped to between 3 and 6 for almost five years. However, this past October, the cancer returned and was deemed metastatic.
