Fun fact 1: I suffered from 20 hot flushes a days since debulking surgery last April. And since my belly got bloated again they are completely gone, I didnt sweat a drop either. Anyone experienced anything similar? Fun Fact 2: I am getting married end of august ….

Hi I had debulking surgery 25th June, good outcome all visible cancer removed which is great news, Post surgery it’s been so tough. Really sick with green yuk , then tube up my nose into stomach to drain off , then CT scan with contrast, vein blow have way through die goes into wrist.

Hi - I had successful debulking surgery 2 weeks ago (womb, ovaries, omentum, bit of the peritoneum) and am walking quite well, albeit slowly. There is not too much pain, most of it seems to be intestinal.

Hello ladies I am almost 5 weeks post surgery now and my consultant is happy to restart me on chemo now. Just wondered what experiences others have had in terms of coping with the ongoing recovery & chemo side effects. Thank you 🤗

I had the 3xchemo and debulking surgery then 3 more chemo. Finished treatment on Dec 23. ca-125 34. I have been put on Niraparib as brca and hrd neg. I had a NED scan in Jan. But after 1 month of being on Niraparib my ca125 is at 86. I have burning pains in my sides and abdomen.

After consulting with onocologist and gynecologist/oncologist it was decided to do 3 rounds of chemotherapy then debulking surgery followed by 3 more rounds of chemo. After first 3 rounds I had a very positive response with major shrinkage of tumor.

She hasn’t had chemo for 4 weeks but they did attempt debulking surgery which didn’t work. So we are not sure if it’s something to do with the blood thinners or she’s worried it is the cancer. has anyone else suffered after attempted / failed surgery? Or just in general thanks

I had debulking surgery in Jan 2020. I have been taking letrozole since then . The disease is present in pare aortic and other lymph nodes but growing slowly . Recent scan found progression into spleen and increase of growth speed .

I have Stage 3 low grade ovarian cancer and had debulking surgery 18 months ago. I got over the surgery very quickly and have been very lucky with no recurrence so far. Yesterday I saw my Oncologist who said she had found a small hernia but I should carry on as normal but avoid heavy lifting.

Has anyone had ascites take a bit more time to clear with chemo or debulking surgery still done despite ascites still being present. Thank you.

Hello all I am 2 weeks post interval debulking surgery and physically & emotionally up & down. Physically I feel extremely bloated much of the time, like I could literally split open. My appetite has reduced massively although I am trying to eat some healthy foods when I can.

I had a full hysterectomy and debulking surgery last Thursday, so 5 days ago. I have a large incision from about 8 cm above my tummy button to my knicker line. I am experiencing a lot of pain around the incision which feels like burning - I wonder if it is perhaps nerve pain.

I've had chemo/debulking surgery/ chemo, and have just come to the end of the post surgery chemo. I've been told all along that I will continue with Bevacizumab as a maintenance treatment (I've had 3 rounds of it alongside chemo, 2 before the surgery and 1 after).

Hi to all the ladies on this journey I am 3c ovarian cancer since May 2022 had 8 lots of chemo and debulking surgery and stoma then been on avastin for over a year last one next Friday and also take olaparib I am NED at the moment but I am suffering realy bad with hot sweats and tiredness is anyone else

After a debulking surgery, pleural infusion drainage, and chemo, she started taking Olaparib and the disease has been stable since. I just wanted to share the good news with you, as she had a PET scan this month, 4 years from the diagnosis, and it showed stable disease!!!

Dear ladies, advice sought Am stage 4a and have had debulking surgery and chemo. Took Niraparib for a year but it stopped working and I had spread to my liver. I finished 6 rounds of chemo late Oct and had bloods and a CT scan. Chemo has shrunk the cancer in my liver so that was good news.

I had an ultra radical debulking surgery in August that year, followed by 6 rounds of carbo/taxol and maintenance via olaparib. I had a CT scan back in August which highlighted a mass on the wall of my stomach.

She has had 4 doses of chemo, debulking surgery (which went well) and two further doses of chemo. She has had three oncologists dealing with her case thus far and they were of the opinion that she should have a double mastectomy in view of her BRCA status.

Hi All,I'm scheduled for my debulking surgery next week, I've been told to expect to be in hospital for 7-10 and will almost certainly have a stoma. Does anyone have any advice for me on what to take to hospital, and how to manage those first few days after the op?

Last week I had a diagnostic laporascopy to determine whether the time was right to do the debulking surgery. I won’t go into all the reasons, but my oncologist, Dr. Bevis, determined that the best course of action is to do more chemo and not do the debulking surgery now.
