Gluten Free endo diet
I’ve recently been diagnosed with endo and I had my follow up call from the endometriosis nurse. She was lovely and gave me lots of advice. One thing she did advise is to go gluten free, as I have endo on my bowel and therefore bowel problems. Has anyone else had this recommendation? If so how are

Post DBS Surgery
I am now just over two months out from my
DBS
surgery. At my last neuro appointment, the doc changed my meds from taking one 25/100 Sinemet every two hours to taking one 25/100 Sinemet and one extended release 25/100 Sinemet every three to four hours.

Candidates for
DBS
are selected with strict criteria.
DBS
may control symptoms so drugs can be reduced. ● Fetal nigral transplantation: to restore lost neuronal tissue. Results are mixed, with a high percentage of postsurgical dyskinesias.

Post DBS Surgery
I am now nine weeks out from surgery. Last week I used my regulator to increase the voltage being sent to my brain. I was rewarded by feeling more energy and also being able to reduce my Sinemet 25/100 by one. Last week I walked to my mailbox and upon removing the mail, decided to walk a bit around

New study suggests DBS should be used earlier.
DBS
proved very effective in patients with average of 7.5 years since diagnosis. http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa1205158?query=featured_home

I just wanted to draw to the attention of new people here that there is a very powerful search engine here at Healh-Unlocked. Top right hand corner on the hub page. Just type in a key word and you will probably find many previous posts , each with many replies discussing that very subject. Divorce,

I am now 7 weeks since my
DBS
surgery. Yes! That is the answer if anyone asks if I am happy with my decision to have the surgery. I am now walking briskly each day, active with my bookkeeping clients, and have rejoined society as an active participant.

DBS Surgery
It has been one month since my
DBS
surgery - time for an update. I am now "in charge" of my regulator. This means that my neuro showed me how to change the amount of voltage is sent to each side of my brain. This allows me to increase or decrease depending on my symptoms.
