I am now nine weeks out from surgery. Last week I used my regulator to increase the voltage being sent to my brain. I was rewarded by feeling more energy and also being able to reduce my Sinemet 25/100 by one. Last week I walked to my mailbox and upon removing the mail, decided to walk a bit around the neighborhood. My little walk turned into a mile, and a brisk one at that. This week I graduated to a trail in my foothills where I walked 1.3 miles. I found an ap for my phone that uses GPS to not only measure how far I walk, but chart it for time. My goal is to get the pace of my walks up. Challenges work for me. I still have times during the day when my body wants to rest, but looking back at the pre-surgery me tells me that I am doing well. Observers tell me I am moving better and looking quite healthy. I will continue to work hard - next step is getting back to the YMCA to work on my upper body strength. Feel free to ask questions, as a;ways. Have a great day!! Annie

Wonderful news!
Congratulations on your walking and feeling so good.
Has it helped with freezing and constipation?
Absolutely with the freezing. I did not have problems with constipation because I drinking fiber drink every morning so I've not had that problem.
i take an alo vera drink its good as well.
That's great to hear. It is always good to hear about another DBS patient get good results. Since it's winter I use the bicycle at the YMCA and then summer I put the little one in the trailer. Really gives a good workout. But the YMCA is definitely a good place.
Sometimes when I'm stiff or a little sore from workout, the sauna is good.
