Type 2
I am a 74 year old male and was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in April 2015 and put on Metformin 500mg x 4 subsequently reduced to x 2 after 3 months after my next blood test in August. As I have had Pernicious Anaemia for 45 years as a result of stomach surgery in 1959 I am well used to the exhaustion

Metformin question
I have PCOS and haven't had periods since coming off the pill over a year ago. I was put on metformin recently. I was told to take it on alternate days first to build it up. After ONE tablet I had a "natural" period. Could this be because of the metformin or just a coincidence? I've got the cramps

Long Wheat
I am new to this forum but have read a lot about the LWMDR therapy. I am 50 now and have been diagnosed three years back. Currently on Metformin 850 mg twice a day. I do one hour Yoga and my height-weight is 5'7" and 70kg. My FBS is normally 110-115 and PP is 140 -150. I want to cut down on medicine

3rd op, ovarian drilling, removed endo.
Just wanting a bit of advice. I had my 3rd lap yesterday in the space of two years. They have found that the endo has spread to my pouch of Douglas, bowel, bladder and more has came back in my womb. I'm only 21 and very worried about my fertility! All I've ever wanted since I was young is to be a mum

PCOS & navel pain. Can the Mirena coil help?
Wow. I've just stumbled across this website while googling symptoms. I can't believe there are so many of us suffering with the same symptoms yet everyone we've all spoken to says they've never heard of this before. I'm 35, and have been diagnosed with PCOS within the last year. I started having sleep

What to expect?
We're starting ICSI in approx 3 months and don't know fully what to expect. We're waiting for our date of 1st appointment from our chosen hospital (I have PCOS and husband has low sperm count and have been referred by our fertility specialist). I'm told I need to take metformin soon, followed by hormone

Lost 22lbs so far :)
I have been on my weight loss journey for 6 weeks, and have lost 22lbs. Eating a low carb diet that I'm finding is totally workable and feel so much better. Sometimes I treat myself, but trying to do healthier treats rather than massive chocolate bar. Following T25 workout which I'm getting better although

Hypothyroid? "Normal" blood test results
Hi, Any help would so greatly be appreciated. My issues have been going on for over a year now. I was diagnosed with pcos in July 2013, albeit mildly and put on metformin. In April 2014, I took 3 course of clomid, to make me ovulate. These resulted in even heavier periods than normal. In October

Weekend away
Well my time away in my bros caravan was awesome , had a few coughing fits, oxygen use wasn't too bad. We had sun and every night had a log burner on, no oxygen use then though. Just sat there listening to the radio, chilling with hubby. Had a couple of gin & tonics but it didn't agree with me. I felt

CKD level 4
After being diagnosed with CKD level 4 three months ago I was advised by my GP to stop taking Metformin which I use to control my diabetes. I now have to test my glucose levels every day with a meter and I am finding my reading creeping up to sometimes past the 10.00mml level. I have also started to

Weight Loss Decreases Atrial Fibrillation Burden, Severity
Weight loss combined with close management of hypertension and other risk factors results in fewer atrial fibrillation (AF) events and less symptom burden in highly symptomatic patients with AF vs risk factor management alone, a new study shows. The new findings are important because no previous studies
