Cytomel

Does anyone have any experience with cytomel or taking Synthroid or levothroxine 2 hours after eating or taking it with additional medications?

He has started me on a starter dose of just 5mcg T3 (cytomel) daily with NO T4 so I am currently just taking 5mcg of T3. I’m extremely confused by his approach as I feel this is almost nothing and will likely have no effect as I haven’t noticed anything so far (6 weeks in).

March 2021 level jumped TSH 12.89 T3 below normal T4 my meds were adjusted once again added Cytomel 5mg ..labs 6 weeks to have my levels at critical point TSH 20.89 T3/T4 normal gained 50 pounds since January 2021 legs are so swollen entire leg and lower, almost in a complete stupor.

Waiting for 6 week to be drawn again I’m on 175mg Tirosint and 10mg Cytomel. Symptoms now ..severe swelling in legs, feet, ankles and hands. Still no weight loss. In need if a solution that spiraling out of control. Have had diarrhea and bubbly tummy. Thank you❤️

I ask because I am taking Cytomel and I am fine-tuning my dosage. And the last time I checked I was 90% in range, but I upped my dosage for another 5 micro grams because my weight is still not stabilized in hopes this will help. I don’t have any negative side effects that are noticeable.

My t3 is constantly low and no doctor will right a prescription for t3 cytomel or some other form of t3 med. I decided to ween myself of my thyroid medication. I take it once a week (Every Sunday) .

I started taking the supplements soon after 6 months of taking cytomel and when my saliva cortisol test showed hypocortisolism. It helped me a lot that time. Now my concern is if I stop them I might lack cortisol, and maybe will not tolerate cytomel dosage at the amount my body needs.

Hi, I used to take my Liothyronine (generic for Cytomel) at 6am, 2pm and 10pm. BUT my sleep has been TERRIBLE recently so I want to nix the 10pm dose. I was waking up in the middle of the night multiple times or just flat out waking up for the day at 3 or 4am and being exhausted all day.

So - July 2020, went back to a Doctor willing to help in the past and he put me back on 50 mcg T3 / Cytomel. Life is improving again - just with change of life issues approaching quickly.

I take 50mcg of Levothyroxine T4 and 5 mcg of Liothyronine T 3 cytomel in the morning empty stomach . Has anyone tried taking T3 in the afternoon & noticed the difference? Is it better to take morning or afternoon or later ... Been having trouble posting on the app lately !

Does anyone know if Cytomel is gluten free? I’m contacting Mayne Pharma and Greenstone Pharmacy, both of which manufacture liothyronine, as well. I’m having a very hard time getting answers. I have celiac disease and need to make sure my T3 medication is gluten free. Thank you for any input!

Hello everyone , Just wanted some insight on cytotec , i want to miscarry naturally but i also know it might take weeks and i have to get this over with , i am struggling emotionally and knowing this baby is still there is not helping ... i have read some awful experiences with it so just wanted to ask

would that make a difference compared to Liothyronine sodium Or T3 Uni-Pharma Liothyronine Sodium (Cytomel) Any guidance / personal experiences on changing brand would be very much welcomed ! Thanks so much !

I am on 137 mcg Tirosint (taken 24 hours before labs) and 20 mcg Cytomel ( 5 mcg taken12 hours before labs). I stopped the B12 a week before the labs. I'm not sure why the lab did not test Ferritin. I think iron labs look low. D is adequate. B12 could go up a bit.

Hello. I was hoping someone could help point me to any citations about how T3 suppresses TSH and that this isn't necessarily a problem for asymptomatic people on medication with free T4/T3 in range? I'm getting too many irrelevant search results in NCBI and I only have till Thursday to come up with the

-alternatively I have found a USA supplier for Cytomel and Liothyronine by SigmaPharm but am unsure of their rating - the Cytomel is considerably more expensive that Sigmpharm's generic - anyone have experience with these brands?

I’m thinking to reduce my Levo further maybe to 50mcg daily whilst keeping my T3 (Cytomel) at 18.75, in the hope that my TSH increases. The Endo said he would like to see my TSH nearer to 1. I did my blood test with timings in accordance to advice given on here.

About a month ago I wrote a post since my doctor had withdrawn Cytomel due to the suppressed TSH, but on February 1 that I had my new appointment I told him that I had felt bad again.

I have been on levothyroxine capsule and cytomel. I can say the past 2 years that I had a high tsh. I am off cytomel and just on levothyroxine capsule and I am waiting for my body to transfer t4 to t3. I feel dumb, miserable, wreckless. Everything is missed up, and my life is messed up.
