Hi All - sending best wishes. I have moved to UK from Middle East and new labs and being unwell indicate that Naturethroid which I used to self source from USA not converting and T3 is super low. I know NHS will not support T3 prescriptions and am also due to meet a Hormone Specialist clinic in london in a couple weeks as am also two years post menopause and not on HRT
- can anyone pls advise me if in UK the compounding clinics also can include T3 in bio-identical HRT prescriptions?
-alternatively I have found a USA supplier for Cytomel and Liothyronine by SigmaPharm but am unsure of their rating - the Cytomel is considerably more expensive that Sigmpharm's generic - anyone have experience with these brands?
-I would welcome advice on other methods to source by personal message
Thank you in advance - I really value the experience in this group

As I see it, that would be a bad move. Any change you feel is needed to either HRT or T3 would require a new formulation. Even if that were a change to how you wished to dose - maybe HRT at one time of day and T3 at two or three times?
Other than the possibility it might be slightly less expensive, I can see no good reason to combine them.
Yes, I see your point - thank you very much. I guess I am also curious on if the pharmacies do in fact support T3 prescriptions in UK and wondered if that was a way around it but could be a messy cocktail like you say
helvella Please could I also ask your advice on the other points if you have the time? :-

I do not, and never have, taken liothyronine - so am very much not the right person to ask about that!
I'd note that Pfizer Cytomel is now manufactured by Peptido in Germany (or sometimes, it has been said, Austria). Alongside that, another liothyronine product was launched under the Greenstone brand. This Greenstone product was absolutely identical to Cytomel - maker, ingredients, markings, etc. Greenstone was the "generics"arm of Pfizer - but have now been sold off.
So, if you see Greenstone, I think it will be the same as Pfizer Cytomel - at least at present.
My document has information about all the USA makes I could find (but not all repackaged versions). As well as some information about liothyronine products in a number of other countries.
Ok thank you very much for the advice - I am in touch with a couple of Uk compounding pharmacies to work backwards for Dr and ultimately purchasing the T3 - its snakes and ladders but getting there - thanks again
