Made a thyroid mistake

I have been on levothyroxine capsule and cytomel. I can say the past 2 years that I had a high tsh. I am off cytomel and just on levothyroxine capsule and I am waiting for my body to transfer t4 to t3. I feel dumb, miserable, wreckless. Everything is missed up, and my life is messed up.

Bloods should be retested 6-8 weeks after any dose change

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4 and FT3 plus both TPO and TG thyroid antibodies tested. Also EXTREMELY important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

My doctor said she would retest my levels in six weeks but I will make sure the vitamin blood tests are included.

Why have you stopped the T3? If you had a high TSH you probably needed a dose increase not a sudden stop of the T3. Was this your doctor's idea? If so, did they explain why?

I find it interesting most doctors I talk with seem to not know about cytomel (weird!) and they don't use it and they strictly use t4. I will ask her at my next appointment and see her reason to exclude cytomel.
