= 580 Currently on 60 mg Erfa Thyroid( Canada) Planning after interpretation to add slowly every 2 weeks by 5 micrograms of T3(Cytomel) Will Be glad to get any advise ! Esther.

Prior to starting the erfa NDT, I was taking .125 synthroid and 5mcg slow release cytomel each morning and 1/2 capsule of over the counter 65mg thyroid at 1:00 in the afternoon.

I have now come off the levo completely & they are trialing me on Cytomel this 1st week 5mg in the morning & 5mg in the afternoon, next week 5mg split across 3 doses & the week after increasing the first dose to 10mg, does this sound reasonable?

Shall I ask for cytomel too? Still waiting for a copy of the results of additional tests including cortisol, ferritin, vitamin D and a few more. According to GP they are all within range - she is still waiting for the Cortisol results from the lab. Any advise would be greately appreciated!

Cytomel 25mcg 100 $189.82 Levoxyl 25mcg 100 $31.76 That is a factor of ~6 difference. Does anyone know if the diff is due to liothyronine synthesis really being more difficult/expensive, high cost of low-volume manufacturing, or just BigPharma greed?

I have Hashimoto's and take 100 mcg of Synthroid and 5 mcgs of Cytomel (10 mcgs 2 days a week) and my recent blood results were as follows. The very low tsh scares me. Should it? I had been feeling excellent but I'm very tired lately.

I've been having some moderate success (not feeling so 'manic' as I had on levo + cytomel as I believe was more the dosage) but I have been feeling much worse physically. I don't have the zeal and energy to muster myself to do anything, really.

I'm now on 75my of the generic for synthroid and 10 mcg of cytomel (5 mcg twice a day) daily. When I had my lab work done it read T3 total 110, T4 free 1.3 and my TSH was 0.3. The endo said that I'm taking too much medication.

I just got my labs back after 5 weeks of switching back to Nature Throid 97.5mg: TSH: .03 Free T4: .83 Free T3: 2.32 I tried a combo of Tirosint and Cytomel for 4 weeks before that.

Has anyone found a replacement for Cytomel, I could maintain my weight and tiredness on this together with my Thyroxine. Tried the Triyotex but my body just seriously overheats.

I did take Cytomel and lost weight and felt great but you can't buy it anymore and the Spanish replacement is not good for me. TSH Result 0.05 mu/L (0.55 - 4.78) I would be grateful for any comments or help.
