Thoughts on alcohol post ablation
No episode since early Dec'23 and in early March'24 had a
cryoablation
. All good for now except (still) some headaches and pulsatile tinnitus in one ear.

Can I trust a second opinion?
I had reason to suspect that the
cryoablation
being recommended was unnecessarily SOC.

First Private Blood Test
In June 2023 I had a
cryoablation
, which has been successful. Great! I did spend a week in hospital just after the op with pericarditis, and whilst I was there, a cardiologist stopped the T3 and increased the T4 to 75mcg. He didn’t consult me or tell me about the change.

I have been looking into
cryoablation
+ intratumoral immunotherapy treatment options offered by a few docs around the country - Dr. Gary Onik and Dr. Jason Williams. Found some threads here with patients who have done treatment with Dr. Onik but search on this forum does not show anything about Dr.

I had a
cryoablation
last July 24th. So far I don’t think I have had any symptomatic AFIB episodes. I do feel arrhythmias now and then and BP has been staying very low most days. I am able to exercise early morning without problems because the BP goes lower mid morning.

Ablation appointment take two …..
Deep breath and all fingers crossed, I’ve been given provisional appointment for
cryoablation
end of this month. They need to use an internal echocardiogram on me (ICE) due to previous heart surgery and clot risk.

Cryoablation time! (Sorry folks, has since been cancelled!)
Well. I got back from a fab day out with a friend yesterday and there’s a message inviting me for catheter ablation this Friday! Just spent an hour cancelling an entire holiday - travel, car hire, hotels, holiday let, stay with friends ….and feeling so heftily disappointed- but it has to be done.

Had a
cryoablation
yesterday; sore chest and less energy than a dead cod but feel relaxed and informed and doing as Bob says - absolutely nothing and sleeping like the cat!

US Healthcare vs NHS
Over the next 3 months I was able to make appointments with and see my family doctor, a cardiologist, an electrophysiologist, I had appointments for a stress test, two CT scans, numerous ECGS, a Transesophageal Echocardiogram, and finally a
Cryoablation
procedure, all within a span of 3 months.

When is a second ablation advisable?
I received a
Cryoablation
on March 16 of last year (2022). I had two afib episodes a month or so after the ablation which was explained as being in the "Blanking Period". Arter that, I was Afib free for over a year until just three weeks ago. After my Ablation I have still been on 50 mg.

AF and Singles Vaccine
In 2018 I had a
cryoablation
and got off the Sotalol which was replaced by 2.5mg of Bisoprolol to help with BP. I have not had AF since which has been wonderful. In March of this year I developed atrial bigeminy and was in this rhythm almost incessantly.

Using the correct terminology - being fussy!
Almost everybody refers to a (my iPad won’t do bold on this site)
CRYOablation
as a CYROablation. The ‘Cryo’ refers to the freezing method of the ablation. There is no such thing as a ‘cyroablation’. I know it’s being fussy but it’s driving me mad ☺️

Ablations history
where the ablation should be done, they did it and at the end of the procedure they did stimulation for any arrhythmia and unfortunately atrial fibrillation and other atrial tachycardia that I didn't notice came out and they decided that after 7 days they would redo the ablation with carto and ane (

flecainide question
I’ve had two ablations (
cryoablation
, and RF). After a year living symptom free, AF episodes have recurred. However, following , two reversions to NSR via Flecainide and Bisoprolol as a ‘pill in the pocket’ intervention, it’s not working now.

Palpitation cure?
I've experienced these for quite a few years, they were much reduced by a
cryoablation
in September 2018 but recently started to become a problem again. Then about 6 weeks ago I bought a exercise bike, started gradually and now doing 10 klm every other day which takes about 25mins, not going mad just
