Horizant Advice Please
I had my first dose last night and had a horrendous night, twitching and little sleep. How many days should I take it, before I give it up completely? I wouldn't say it was an allergic reaction, but just not the one I was hoping to get. The doctor told me to stop the Gabepentin cold turkey, which I did

Such a relief: doctor called and my ESR well below average as were other inflammation markers. Panic over, back to 5mgs a day and hopefully a lull in headaches and eye pain. Very relieved. Thank you everyone for the super support snd guidance. Have a good day!

RA/GCA Emergency
A year ago I was diagnosed with RA, having ground to a halt physically was joyous that 30mgs Pred gave me my life back. Painted around 70-80 pictures this year. Five weeks ago headaches and eye pain started just after Vax so I ignored them. Had to call 111 in agony last night and today everything moved

How do I accept the news of some vision loss?
7weeks ago I received a diagnosis of glaucoma in both eyes. Am in a state of utter shock & worry. A healthy 59yr old woman traumatised & very low (am usually chirpy). High pressures of 30 since 2018 & failed many field tests in right eye. My comments since 2019 to my optician of greyness in my right

Double vision and 3D vision with wet AMD
Hello generous community, Have any of you with wet AMD (I have left wet and right dry...so far) experienced what feels like double vision and/or sort of 3D visual effects? Perhaps more pronounced following injections for wet? Can nicking of blood vessel in eye during injection process result in worsening

Trab Surgery
Hello all, I am new here, and have had Glaucoma for a number of years, and take three different types of drops, which as far as I'm concerned are working fine, but apparently they are not, in my right eye. I woke up one morning a couple of years ago with the bottom third of my vision in the right eye

Health anxiety worried about numbing drops glaucoma
Hi I will be as brief as possible, I’m 51 I have bad health anxiety, but this time I wasn’t prepared to be told I had a health issue rather than thinking I had one. Went to spec savers my eyes were running as I had make-up on ... Pressure test fine, field of vision fine, then she totally freaked me

Starting Besremi
Hi, As Pegasys, Ruxolitnib and Hydroxy are no longer appropriate for my PV I have just started to transition to Besremi. The treatment consists of an injection every 2 weeks with a special syringe which I am finding easier to use than the Pegasys syringe as the needle is finer making for a painless

Update to my recent post re bleed behind eye
I had retinal surgery today for a vitreous haemorrhage which caused a detached retina. I dont think it is related to taking anticoagulants but next week I will contact my GP to discuss, hospital thinks it was wear and tear and age related. So relieved I decided to seek help from Moorfields, they were

Eye pain
To all GCA people! In my determination to get fitter, I’m having problems with pain behind my eyes when I try to push myself a bit further. Do others have the same body-response when trying to increase their fitness? I can walk, briskly, up hills for about 20 minutes and then a further 20 mins on

Amsler Grid, lack of self-confidence, and reading tips
When I use the grid, I cannot see changes from day to day. I worry that I am missing something. The fear is made worse because I feel my reading ability is deteriorating. I live in the States and do not have to wait two weeks for an appointment. When I call and say I think I see a change, I am seen
