Dry eyes

For the past 12 months my eyes have become quite dry so as many people I use eye drops daily to keep them hydrated. I did some research and found a supplement bought through Amazon called ‘Sea Buckthorn oil capsules’ with omega7 the make is Nature’s. Aid.

I have taken these for about a month and my dry eyes seem much improved and I am not looking for my eye drops as regularly.

My eye injections are far more sensitive now so the injections are more painful.

I hope this may be helpful to fellow suffers.

Love to all

Sorry I don't understand what you mean "My eye injections are far more sensitive now so the injections are more painful" do you mean that the injections ae more sensitive or that your eyes are more sensitive and the injections are more painful because of your dry eyes. I have Sjogren's Syndrome (severe dry eyes and dry mouth) and am prescribed by the hospital p/f lubricating eye drops. Unfortunately haven't found that Sea buckthorn oil have helped my eyes, but I think they have helped my dry mouth, but it is good that they help you.

Thank you for correcting my post, yes I do mean that the injections are more painful because of my dry eyes in particular the right eye, I will carry on using The sea buckthorn oil capsules and just hope they may help others. What is the name of your lubricating drops? Are they preservative free?

Sending love and best wishes

I have found that after I have the eye drops to dilate my pupils when I have my eye monitored at the hospital, the eye drops always are far more painful the dryer my eyes are. I am always prescribed p/f (preservative free) eye drops. I am on carmellose, just got a change of prescription from Hylo-forte as they were irritating my eyes.

I get all my eye drops on prescription, but I do buy Systane Ultra UD , p/f in vials w when my eyes needs eye drops with a thicker viscosity. It is trial and error with eye drops for me.
