New Here - Pure O, Harm OCD, Intrusive Thoughts History. Just Restarted Clomipramine After Relapse.
I can remember suffering with a form of OCD back to childhood. Repeatedly checking things for safety like the gas on the cooker and locking doors. It first became a problem of more severity in 2001, then again in 2008 and has been ongoing but maintained ever since. I have done CBT, Mindfulness and Counseling

🎅 'Tis The Season To Be Jolly🎅 Here's A Load Of Cracker Jokes, So Have A Good Groan Folks 🎄🎄🎄
Cracker Jokes. How does Santa keep track of all the fireplaces he’s visited? He keeps a log book. What did Miley Cyrus serve up for Christmas dinner? Twerky. When is pizza an acceptable Christmas food? If it’s deep pan, crisp and even. What did the Kremlin send MI6 in their Christmas hamper?

OCD Deflated
My name is Harvey and I am new here. But, I am 75 years old and have had OCD since I was 14 years old. Have struggled with intrusive thoughts all my life but now learned to just ignore them. I also take Zoloft (Sertraline) that helps. I have been to counseling in the past and attended OCD support

Online counseling
Hi, Does anyone know of free online counseling? I have come across a few companies but they all charge. Unfortunately I can't afford to pay at the moment and I can't bring myself to go to the doctor and talk to someone face to face... Thanks for your time

Fargo-Guy working on OCD after 66 years - medication
After turning 66 and dealing with OCD most of my life I am working to make it less of a factor during my retirement. Started a medication after 6 months of counseling. I will update the group on progress. I wonder how many have seen improvement with medication?

Counselling
Hi all, I had my first counselling session today. I was a bit apprehensive about going. I'm so glad I did. It was lovely to talk to someone who just sat and listened. It went from how I am feeling about my mum passing away in march 😢 To how I feel today. I now realise I have to come to terms that I

I’m becoming someone I don’t like
I’ve had a really tough time since my miscarriage in April. I’m definitely depressed, on medication and counselling. This weekend past, I had what I can only describe as a nervous breakdown. I couldn’t stop crying, I was struggling to breath, I felt like I was a burden to everyone, and that they’d all

Anxiety at University
Hi! I'm currently in my first year of university living in halls, and in all honesty, it's been the hardest few months of my life. The constant socializing is extremely overwhelming as an introvert. But what I've found most difficult is living in halls. Even if I'm just sat in my room, I feel so anxious

End of the semester and stressing
So here we have 3 weeks now to complete two book reports. Yesterday we finished the first book. We chose the shortest books in each of the categories and all that. I feel quite sure that there will be other projects to finish up. Oh and she is in choir so there will be performances (at least two

Vitamin D
I am sure all of us know about vitamin D (and most likely all of us were vitamin D deficient at least at the onset of MS). Here is another article about vitamin D (article also copied and pasted below): https://www.everydayhealth.com/news/illnesses-linked-vitamin-d-deficiency/?eh_uid=80592249&slot=1&

Stuck in many cycles!
I've recently finished counselling and was feeling top of the world. But I find I fix the big problems then more worries fit in their place. I'm picking my skin till it's painfull And now I've started being incontinent of urine, as if having IBS wasn't bad enough. So embarrassed and ashamed of myself

Recovery Plan... it’s going to take time.
Yesterday I replied to Jeff1943 saying my recovery plan is in place... Medication Counselling Meditation Today I woke early anxious, nauseous and with the realisation that my recovery is going to take time. Previously when I’ve felt better I’ve stopped taking medication only for anxiety to return, it
