CKD caused by overuse of NSAIDS, GFR low again
Routine blood work caught my GFR of 42 years ago, elevated
creatine
, etc and I saw a nephrologist. He diagnosed me with analgesic nephropathy and no more NSAIDS. I was 36 at the time, no high blood pressure, no diabetes.

Mma Results. Creatine unsure?
They didn't have any. 24hr urine sample test. 1.6 g/l - methymalonic acid 0.93 g/l -
creatine
(low) 1.7 g/l - mma/
creatine
All it says is to speak to doctor about kidney function. Can anyone shed some light for me atleast while I'm away on holiday.

Creatine. Beware capsules.
Creatine
naturally occurs in our own body. Synthetically it can be legally used by all athletes. I have used it for a number of years prior to a "big occasion". Previously I have used it in powder form and diluted it in water as instructed. With good results and no aftereffects.

Parkinson’s Disease copy/paste fromThe Clinician's Handbook of Natural Medicine
. ● Oral intake of
creatine
significantly increases brain
creatine
levels but has failed to provide consistent improvement in patients with a variety of neurologic disorders. ● Whether
creatine
intake will prove beneficial to PD patients in the future is doubtful.

CKD Stage 3B
My
creatine
has varied between 1.6 and 1.8. I have no protein in my urine. An ultrasound showed kidneys consistent with CKD. I don't understand the generic list of foods to stay away from when I see others with CKD saying it is ok.

Today's interesting molecule. Taurine.
So I spent a couple days researching this molecule and finally just now I began to find some truly interesting links: -
Creatine
-supplemented diet extends Purkinje cell survival in spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 transgenic mice but does not prevent the ataxic phenotype. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed

Doctors appointment coming up.
So what's the most important test for kidney disease,is it EGFR ,creatinine,or
Creatine
Kinase. I've also heard potassium mentioned. All I am really trying to say, what tests are important for CKD.

Chronic kidney disease stage 3 - help
Recent results showed my
creatine
level at 101! Is that abnormally high? How do I get it down? I don't feel like the doctors have given me enough information, and am worried I may end up on dialysis at some point. I'm only 41, so not particularly old.
