Shortness of breadth
I also have sleep apnea and use a
cpap
. Recently I have been getting up in the middle of the night once or twice to urinate and I am experiencing shortness of breadth. After I urinate it goes away. What could be causing this shortness of breadth?

does anyone have a CPAP ?
If you have a
CPAP
, how long did it take to get it? Do you like it? Has it changed how you feel? What are the drawbacks and/or benefits from it?

Does chronic pain ever go away for elderly?
To him, seeing multiple docs a nuisance, therefore delaying treatment speed (we still need to start
CPAP
therapy for his sleep apnea, see the cardiologist, and professional PT/strengthen regimen (we're doing exercises at home and he does them by himself too, but when I'm go back home to check in on him

APNEA v RLS - something else
I have recently been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea & have been given a
CPAP
machine to use but it seems the drugs I take for RLS (Oxycodone & Gabapentin) are conflicting with the efficacy of the
CPAP
kit and not bring down my incidence of AHI during the night.

NHS survey on CPAP machines
The NHS is running a project about supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people who have a
CPAP
machine to use it better. Sometimes called a sleep machine, a
CPAP
machine helps people sleep by keeping their airways open, letting them breathe normally.

CPAP
machine given post Thyroidectomy due to impact of very large goitre). I currently have more swelling in mouth and lips, feel very tired, dizzy and drunk. Thus indicating to me an allergic response to ingestion (as opposed to hay fever etc). Has anyone else experienced this?

New to CPAP/Airsense Sleep Apnea machines - how did you choose the model you have?
Hi all, new to this community. My dad's sleep test came back with severe Sleep Apnea results. We're told by the Neurologist to go on Resmed.com and a few other sites to see which model we want to rent (covered by Medicare). Currently considering the Airsense 11, but would love to some guidance and first

Settling in on HHD, the good, bad and ugly….
We tried to go back to bed, but neither of us can sleep without our
CPAP
machines. We decided to sit in our matching recliners and pull up a dog to keep warm. He, of course, fell asleep. Around 3:30, the power came back on. And the alarms on my machine went off.

A
CPAP
machine did not work for me at all. I am now using a device, which is fairly new (and the insurance company is not paying for it!) which is called exciteOSA. I use it every morning for 20 minutes. I am not sure whether it is making any difference in my sleep.

Jaw and Shoulder Pain
I am on a
CPAP
and have met with a slept tech 3 times and nothing really stands out there, but I am going to try a different mask to see if I rest better. My GP, who is working with me, wonders if something else is going on.

TSH up after Synthroid increase
The only other thing I changed was starting a
CPAP
trial, which by all accounts has helped immensely with sleep and could be contributing to the lowered BP, even this quickly....anyways, appreciate any thoughts as not sure where to go with it all next.

finally off of Ropinirole ,what next?
After another sleep study I’ve been given a
cpap
machine as well, not sure if this helps at all, but will try anything. I have finally got the specialist to agree that I can try something else apart from Ropinirole ,so without any help from them I have weaned myself off of it.

Hypothyroid / sleep apnea
In May I took a private sleep test and found I had severe sleep apnea (60 AHI per hour) so bought the
CPAP
/APAP machine and started therapy, the results were instant and felt much better.
