Early Hypo/Hashi's Complicated By Adrenal/Low Cortisol
I have sleep apnea but use a
CPAP
. Breathing is shallow (doing stairs winds me) and massive fatigue and brain fog. Pins and needles in feet and toes and many leg and calf cramps. Poor appetite. Tinnitus in both ears. TMJ. Want to sleep all day, sleepy all the time.

Anyone acting out dreams and having internal tremors?
I have severe sleep apnea and use
CPAP
. I also have restrictive lung disease and am on oxygen. Things are getting worse and more often and now I am concerned enough to look for a neurologist to try to find out what is happening when i sleep.

If I don’t always feel like using my
CPAP
machine I have been advised that I could probably stop for a few days at a time. I want to encourage others. No longer am I losing weight for looking good but rather than for living healthier and disease free as possible.

Not anotherProblem
The last time I saw my Asthma Consultant, he suggested that I do a Sleep test, So I did the first test and got a letter from the hospital telling me that I had to go and pick up a
CPAP
machine, then I got a letter from a Consultant who I never met telling me I have Sleep Apnea.

Any help is appreciated - High anxiety
I've had 2 holter monitors and started using a
CPAP
machine. I am also seeing a psychiatrist and therapist. I currently lake 10mg of lexapro, 1 mg of risperdal and 30mg of buspirone. It feels like nothing is really helping. I'm always scared of having a heart attack.

Anyone here have obstructive sleep apnea too?
Since sleeping with a
CPAP
machine hooked up to my face is already difficult, adding worsening RLS to the mix has left me exhausted. Just wondering if any of you struggle with both conditions?

Struggle to use CPAP
I really couldn’t be bothered going through the NHS hoops again, so I did a private sleep study & bought a top of the range Resmed Autosense 10
CPAP
machine. The problem is, I’m a wriggler & (apart from the odd occasion when I’m paralytic drunk) I cannot sleep on my back. I sleep face down.

Camping with panic attacks
Hell I even bought a battery for my
cpap
machine so I don't embarrass myself with snoring. How do I get over this insane fear? Is this just one of those things you have to white knuckle through? Heck, I have even camped before, why can't I see that victory and use it to go confidentially?

Trying to get used to Cpap mask
I know as Iv had a total thyroidectomy I am now hypothyroid and that can come with sleep apnoea so I’m hoping if I ever get my dosage right I will not need
Cpap
but I have a fight on my hands getting t3 because it’s expensive and GP and endo say they won’t prescribe it. Have a good day everyone.x

CPAP and Inhalers
I have found that I need to use my Fostair Nexthaler just before I go to bed for the
CPAP
machine to function properly. I prefer to use the inhaler with my evening meal but this means that the
CPAP
machine misbehaves at night and tries to float me up to the ceiling.

Restless legs keeps coming back
Recently she was diagnosed with sleep apnea and was using
cpap
which made all her rls symptoms go away however after 2 months it has returned really bad. I took her to the gp and he has prescribed her with amitriptyline 25mg for 2 weeks and pregabalin 25mg for 4 weeks.

Question re: Sleeping meds for insomnia?
Oh I also use
CPAP
for sleep apnea for 5 years which in and of itself makes sleep difficult. First she said she won’t prescribe Ambien & Ativan together & I said I didn’t know that & I feel the Ambien works better cuz I truly get solid 8 hours on Ambien.

Sources for Masks?
I'm wondering if there are 'aftermarket' sources for
CPAP
masks. I'm guessing not. All sources I am finding online have what appears to be a vendor locked down price (ie. $154.00). All the same. I can't get another from my initial source, unless I purchase...insurance only pays for 1.

Flecainide - from PIP to 2x100/day now want to get off of it
The PVCs have gone and my nightly afib too (I got the apnea treated with a
CPAP
machine). Now that my primary trigger for afib is gone I want to stop taking Flecainide and go back to just PIP usage for what will hopefully be rare afib again but I'm worried about getting those awful PVCs again!

I was immediately put on a
CPAP
machine. I joined HealthUnlocked over 12 months ago and Sleep Matters about 2 months ago. It really has helped me, sharing my symptoms it's been a life-changer; it really has. I'm eternally grateful for that person that pointed me in the right direction.

Pacemaker Update
The other big difference was that I started experiencing problems with my
CPAP
, wakening feeling that my lungs and body just couldn’t hold any more air so it was overflowing, very uncomfortable and it lifted the mask air cushion up, breaking the seal. I rang the
CPAP
clinic - they are so good!

I’ve been using a
CPAP
machine now for the past two years and my chest is no longer wheezing. My journey of learning about portion sizes will hopefully lead me onto losing the three stone I need off to get me to a healthy range. It’s inspiring to read others posts of their success stories.
