Why does cortisone inject not work
Injection: Why does cortisone inject... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Injection
My Dr. No longer gives cortisone shots as he told me prove to make bones brittle or subject to OA.I can't remember the name of the shot he gives instead, but no longer cortisone.✌
It depends on what they're giving you a cortisone (steroid) injection for. It won't help with fibro as far as I'm aware. But I've had two injections over the years - one for osteoarthritis in my ankle, and one just a couple of weeks ago for what has now been diagnosed as calcific tendonitis in my shoulder. They both worked really well. My understanding is, if it's a problem with the bone/tendons/ligaments then it helps - but it doesn't help with nerve pain from fibromyalgia.
I am so genuinely sorry to read that your injection has not worked and I sincerely hope that you can find some resolution to this issue. It is usually a case of what works for one person may not necessarily work for another as we are all unique individuals. I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
They worked for me, I had the injection into my bum muscle NOt straight into a particular area. that way it circulated to all affected areas. I had Kenalog!
Thanks for reply. I have had them several times and after the last one have come to the conclusion they just do not work for me. I wish I knew why thank you
