Low normal cortisol
Can anyone please advise on low cortisol. I've uploaded cortisol test result from a 24hr urine test done at the hospital. Over the previous 4 years I've lost scalp eyebrow hair. I believe this the reason why. The NHS will never treat me and I will have to continue to watch my hair fall out. Although

Cortisol test Swiss Endo says Tirosint level I s fine
Hello everyone I was hoping she would recommend T4 - T3 or at least help me understand if my T4 level is sufficient to covert to T 3. She said she had a patient who was previously on a combination T4/T3 but the company has stopped making it due to lack of people been prescribed it. I seen a Endocrinologist

Hydrocortisone, please help
I am in a really bad place, undiagnosed because of "normal" blood tests, but I suspect severe hypo because of low pulse and very low body temperature. Low cortisol ( I have done the 24 h saliva test). I have an appointment with a doctor in Belgium soon, but I am getting worse every day with dizziness

Hi there and thank you in advance. Hope this is not too long a post but please can someone look over my history and advise? I feel I want to add more T3 and reduce T4 but this may not get the support of professionals. I have CFS/Fibro since 1990. I understand that is going to affect my TSH due to possible

Prescription cortisone for adrenal fatigue?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I've read that long-term
cortisone
use can really mess you up, metabolically and otherwise.

The effect of cortisone on height
He is fine and now takes only 2.5 of
cortisone
, plus Ramipril and celltech. At the beginning he took a lot of intravenous
cortisone
, as many of you imagine, and then for several months by mouth he took high doses of Prednisone. I noticed that height development has stalled.

Advice on adrenal/ dental issues.
I have Hashimotos, PCOS, asthma and estrogen dominance. I have had a saliva cortisol test and have very low cortisol (particularly low in morning). I had dental procedures of amalgam removal (I ingested a significant amount of the filling due to this being poorly removed) and was ill following the procedure

Help please adding thyroxine to NDT!
Hi there, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in 2015, and started on 50 mcg Thyroxine which was an improvement, but soon realised I needed to add T3, so increased to Thyroxine 75 mcg plus 10-20 mcg T3 (I usually took about 10 T3 daily) On 75 thyroxine plus 10-20 mcg T3 (8/8/17) my bloods were 8/8/17 TSH

not the same strength as Pred? Felt OK on Christmas day in the afternoon. Took 8mg Pred that night. Felt OK on Boxing Day.

CORTISONE INJECTIONS
Just wondering what the success rate is for those of you that have experienced
cortisone
injections. I had my first 6 wks ago (for the shoulder), and miraculously the following morning my pain had decreased by 80-90%. Lasting only 10 days.

Who knows?
The side effects of
cortisone
, prednisone, and similar drugs are legendary. They include diabetes, osteoporosis, edema of the face, mood swings, stomach ulcers and, very importantly, adrenal suppression. In other words, your own adrenal glands shut off their production of these valuable hormones.

Skin Itch
No creams or treatments such as
cortisone
seem to do any good. It seems as though the problem is sub-cutaneous as there is no rash unless I scratch it. I have had PD four years and taken pramipexole for three. Recently I have been taking thiamine, but without any benefits yet.

NHS Endo test results - all normal - thoughts please ...
Hi - I have finally been to see an NHS endocrinologist. It felt like something of a 'tick box exercise'. My GP agreed to the referral because I had a low serum cortisol result and because (whilst my TSH is 'normal') my FT4 is at the bottom of the scale and I've been pushing for investigation of a possible
