Thrill rides
Hi, So just before I was diagnosed with unstable angina I was supposed to be going to Disney with my family. I had a cardiac stent inserted and am on the usual medication. Trying to understand if I rebooked whether I could go on the 'big rides' or whether I'd be stuck holding the bags whilst the kids

Lifestyle changes after a Stemi
I had a heart attack a few weeks ago - and a nice, shiny new stent fitted that saved my life. I only spent a couple of days in hospital, thankfully. I couldn't sleep at all in the hospital - and the food was, ehh, not to my taste, to put it politely. I so want to get better. I want to live more than

A couple of personal anniversarys one biggish and one huge.
Twelve months ago I was moved from Shrewsbury cardiac ward to Wolverhampton so that I could be given a angiogram, so I smoked my last cigarette exactly 365 days ago to the minute, I stubbed it out and got into the ambulance at 09.00, and I was not allowed outside of new cross for another eight days.

Stents and HCC
My husband has ascites and oedema which the scan shows to be caused by the original tumour blocking the portal vein. I wonder if anyone has had PVT and was it treated by putting in a stent as the treatment recommended by our oncologist is firstly diruretics and then an infusion of iron? The stent option

Post angioplasty severe pain in side
Hi everyone. So I had my second angioplasty on Monday, the procedure went well from the cardiologists point of view and I have had another stent fitted right next to my first one - they are overlapping. From my point of view however, when he went in my groin it really hurt - I've not had that before

Recovery post heart bypass.
My Grandad had a heart attack about 5 weeks ago, and subsequently was hospitalised. He then had a heart bypass just over two weeks ago, and thankfully he is now back at home. Since he came home he has struggled to sleep and has told my family and I that he is very dizzy, sick and tired. I can understand

Light-Headed
Hi, I have survived 2 'out of hospital' cardiac arrests. I had a triple heart bypass after the first in 2012 and an ICD fitted in 2019 after the second. 10 days ago, I started feeling very light-headed. I have had no change of meds (either dosage or type) . I take Ramipril, Amiodarone, Asprin, Bisoprolol

Can medication be reduced after a certain time with no problems?
In 2012 I had a heart attack which resulted in the insertion of a stent, fortunately prompt treatment meant there was no major damage to my heart, although I started getting AF attacks in 2016. In 2017 I started taking 100mg of Flecainide and this was successful in stopping my AF attacks. In 2020 I

Recent Angina Diagnosis,Two Angiograms and still no stent because it's difficult?
Hi , I am Adam and 51 years old. I had a cough and shortness of breath that started in March this year. Got referred to a cardiologist, had an echocardiogram which showed slight leaking aortic valve. I also had a positive stress test indicating a blockage. I was put on monomil XL 30mg , ranexa 350mg
