Husband needs quadruple bypass
Good evening all, I’m not sure where to start. My husband (62) was admitting to hospital 3 weeks ago with pneumonia and breathing problems. He has a routine heart ultrasound which showed severe heart malfunction. Last week he had an angiogram which we were told would diagnose the exact problem and probably

GTN Travel
hi folks Just a quick question. Will my GTN spray get passed airport security as travelling to Thailand to visit my daughter? I’ve not needed it since my stent implant but it’s a reassuring comfort to have in my pocket. TIA Andy

What should I do please?
I had a gastric bypass 7 years ago. A routine blood test showed my B12 level was 195. The GP said, "Take iron tablet's". I was unable to function properly with fatigue, dementia symptoms and I felt like I was dying. I saw a private gp who checked my results and said that I needed B12 injections. After

Unstable angina
I was diagnosed in 2016 and had 2 stents. Was originally told it would be 3 but one was was too small to stent. Have had attacks since then which have been managed by the usual meds and GTN spray. However, since having covid a month ago I have had more incidents than in the last year. Has anyone else

Can't get a quote for Holiday Insurance until I specify what the medication I'm taking following Bypass surgery is for.
Hi 🤗 Everyone, I've just tried to nail down a Holiday insurance quote but I've hit a brickwall and was hoping that I can tap into the wealth of knowledge of my fellow Hearties. On the 26th September I had double Bypass Surgery. What with lockdown and my diagnosis of a severe Stenosis on the LAD

Angioplasty
I have just been told by my cardiologist that I need to have an angioplasty with stent because there is a narrowing of my LAD. I am freaking out - I’m 42 this year and have an 8 year old daughter and a wife who I love very much. I have heard CVD in the LAD is very serious - a widow maker. What

HA and Stent
Can anybody relate to this story. My sister lives in Spain and just had a surprise HA, she then had a stent fitted to deal with a blocked artery. She is feeling fine and was told she is ‘fixed’, although left with scarring. This is just two weeks ago. Is it really as simple as that? She had

Recent echo after A/F diagnosis
Had a 3X CABG 19 years ago ( I'm 69 now) and just 3 months back had a bout of A/F which was treated with the usual Bisoprolol and Warfarin (bad reaction to Apixaban so that was a no go). Had the echo 3 weeks ago and was given the results yesterday - valves working well but Ejection fraction down to 40
