Hello I'm a 40 year old father of 2. Noticed I was having episodes of chest pain while cycling back in August. After a Heart CT I underwent an angiogram on 17th Dec with 35mm stent fitted in the LAD.

I'm now on all manner of medication and quite frankly feel rubbish. Aching and shivery and generally feeling unwell especially in the mid afternoon. I'm hoping this will pass.

Going forward I'm looking to lose weight and get back to cycling and I'm hoping this forum can offer some inspiration.

Hi It is early days but if you are aching and shivery have you thought bout having a COVID test ?

That's the only symptoms my Son had .

Best to phone 111 and discuses it may be nothing .

At least it will put your mind to rest .

Take Care

Hi Smithy - It's very early days in your recovery having had a stent fitted only 12 days back. Also it takes a while to get used to the boatload of meds you will be on.

I remember having a high temperature 2 days after stents but this was just for 24 hours. Have you taken your temperature? If your temp is high you may have an infection of some sort. Give the Ward you were on a call and ask to speak with Charge or Staff Nurse to discuss. Covid test is worth considering as well. These suggestions are just to rule things out it may well be just your body's reaction to stent, remember it's an invasive procedure and while you don't have stiches you have been messed around inside. There is lots of info on this site and check out the att secondscount.org/treatments...
