Unstable angina

After having a stent fitted in the LAD artery 6 months ago and feeling really well, I now have a slightly uncomfortable tightness in my chest. It’s there most of the time, definitely not the pain of angina, just an awareness.

Anyone else had this ?

Are you on Clopidogrel by any chance?

Was, but got changed to 10 mg Prasugrel, as Clopidogel upset my stomach

I had a slightly tight feeling after my stents were fitted, which I am fairly sure was the Clopidogrel I was on. As you say if it is there all the time I doubt it is Angina and probably nothing to worry about, it might be muscular?

Had my LAD stent 7 years ago . Needed a GTN spray for about 4 months . Eased myself off but it’s a confidence thing of going out without it you had to overcome . Found recently I was using it again for bike rides and jogs up hills as I try to lose weight and regain fitness . Dr advised slow release ISMR? tablets which work. Use the GTN spray as you get back to fitness . Good luck . Welcome to the club .

You should always carry it. I have never had to use mine in anger but I still take one out with me, just in case. It is not just for relieving any possible future Angina, if you do get chest pains and the spray does not work, it might be a HA.

Haven’t used the GNT spray for it, it just rumbles around centre of chest. Thanks for the reply
