ATORVASTATIN Side effects
My dose was increased from 20mg to 80mg after heart attack. I had the proceedure known as Angioplasty where the arteries ate widened using a balloon rather than stents. I now get very painful cramps at night but my GP will not reduse the dosage because of my heart attack, too risky I guess. Does anyone

Does a triple bypass mean you no longer have heart failure?
I had a heart attack and a stent fitted in 2015, pulmonary oedema in 2016 then a triple bypass in 2019. I attend the Heart Failure clinic and am having shortness of breath, aching legs due to oedema and still have angina. Am l considered disabled? I struggle in various areas.

Hello Everyone This is my first post to the forum but I have accessed the site on most days for the past few months and I have been impressed with the empathy , honesty shown and the advice provided by the community. My stage 3C OC journey echoes that of many of the group. I was diagnosed in November

Hi, diagnosed on 26th July with blocked LAD & awaiting cabg . In shock as 54 & working primary school teacher. Had pre assessment on Friday so hoping 6-8 weeks wait but know there is a big problem with ICU beds in West London. Would love to hear any female perspectives of operation & recovery ❤️🩹

Exercise and PVC's
I had a heart attack, caused by a clot according to my cardiologist albeit I have clear coronary arteries and no sign of CAD in the main arteries. I do have slight disease in one of the minor arteries but it is too small to stent and my treatment is medication only. Prior to heart attack I was exercising

Seeking for morale support from fellow heart stent heroes!
Hello! I’m a 45 year old male had an angioplasty done last august. My road to recovery has been quite an emotional roller coaster ride. I’m seeking to make friends with people of the same condition, to share their day to day struggles and how they keep their motivation up. Sometimes, I feel ashamed and

Hi all, Just an update on my personal journey. I had a heart Attack in April with two stents fitted into my RCA. Fantastic treatment from the NHS! Then following a stress MRI ( I found this Very unpleasant)a stent was attempted in another artery but failed due to them finding my LMS blocked so was referred

Discharge at 6 week review
I had my CABG last September and was expecting a 12 month review. Having moved house in the interim, I phoned yesterday for an update only to be informed I was discharged at my 6 week review. Is this normal? I was hoping for some sort of check up, some reassurance, and general overview.

Thanks to everyone who has already commented or donated, we are extremely grateful. I have had three heart attacks, been stented had angioplasty and a by-pass in 2017, two days ago I found out that at some point in the past I have had a silent stroke. A year ago I discovered a brother that I never knew

Heart medication and CBD oil
Hi - prior to my heart attack and stent placement I took CBD oil on a regular basis - 2-3 drops twice daily. I did sone research, joined a CBD group and am now a member of the admin team. Whilst taking CBD I was able to stop my pain meds and tapered and eventually came off my anti-depressant medication

Update
So I had my laparoscopic pyeloplasty and so far so good. The urology consultant that performed it also filmed my liver so that the hepatology consultants could have a look at it almost like seeing it in real life. During this operation the urologist confirmed that there is no ascites but confirmed

Stat bike exercise?
Today was a visit to the cardiologist. Two years ago I had 100% obstruction of the LAD, one of the major arteries feeding the heart. It was cleaned out then a stent put in. Lately I've had chest pain similar to the pain from the obstruction. But a recheck says the arteries are still wide
