I had a stent fitted in February after having ‘muscular’ type chest pain and being a little out of breath. Gp sent me for checks more to do with my fam history. The problem is I am still suffering with intense muscular chest pain including v much on my left side and it’s getting so bad I can’t walk anywhere

Lifestyle after stent.
Hi, I had a stent (LAD) 3 years ago no heart attack as symptoms were just tiredness. I am now 71yrs old and walk 5 miles daily. I am on diazapam 10 mg daily for over 40 yrs and that helps with any anxiety. I find it very difficult to stick with strict diets so basically eat what I did prior to the stents

2 weeks after stent insertion. What can go wrong?
First, thank you to all respondents to everyone's posts. You have been so reassuring / comforting at anxiety producing times. What can go wrong in the early weeks after stent procedure? I didn't have a HA but blockage was discovered. Straight afterwards the cardiologist said, ' blood flowing well, other

1 year since my Widowmaker update
Hi all, Yesterday I had my final check in with the Cardiology doctors and I’m in great health, my heart is strong, I feel strong and I’m now only taking aspirin and atorvastatin. A far cry from walking into A&E on 16/11/20 and suffering a STEMI which stopped my heart for 90 seconds. I was lucky that

Feeling a Bit Frightened and Anxious...
...and it's not even me. Tom, my husband of 50 years, is hitting a wobbly patch so I feel like sharing or offloading - so thanks for listening. His 'widow maker' heart attack was in February and the brilliant emergency services had him whisked away and stented (4) all within a few hours, home again

Insurance Renewal Costs
Hello everyone. I had a x4 CABG in June this year and am recovering very well (touch wood). I'm a seasonal ski instructor and regularly work in the Alps (Austria, Italy and Switzerland). I have professional insurance cover whilst teaching but that only covers part of the day. The rest of the day

Shortness of breath post CABG
Good Morning, I really need some advice. My mum had Quadrupled last December. Over the past 3 weeks she has been experiencing shortness of breath and some pain over shoulder, neck and arm. It's not the angina pain she was getting pre surgery and only experienced some tightness around the chest area when

Statin reaction
This may seem petty and unimportant but two years ago I had a stent fitted as I had a blockage in my LAD . Every morning I take 75m aspirin and 40g Atorvastatin. I usually take these after breakfast about 9.00 the an hour and a half later I feel spaced out. At night I take ramipril and

Ptsd after stent heart attack.
After having a heart attack in mid August, I am suffering bouts of depression, crying and the feeling I could die at any moment. In town shopping I had a quite acute chest pain and then realized my GTNspray was at home. I panicked but after a while the pain subsided and I got home Then another sharp

Isosobride mononitrate
Had cabg x 3 2 years ago. 1 yr later discovered a problem with a 4th artery. Too narrow to stent. Given Ranexa to control angina type episode. Worked for about a year although I’ve been having hearing problems so when I had another episode didn’t want to increase it so meds changed to the isosobride

Hydronephrosis
Ultrasound shows bilateral hydronephrosis. Also my bladder was not emptying. I had a Ureteroscopy done with a stent put in for two weeks as I had two .4 cm stones to pass. The stent was taken out 2 weeks ago, but I'm still having lot of bad flank pain on both sides plus under both sides of my front

Discomfort while sleeping on left side?
When I sleep on left side, I feel uncomfortable, like may be heavy than go sleep right side or straight and that’s okay everything becomes normal breathing comfort and all good. Wondering why on left side, After angioplasty it’s been around one year now.

Chest pain post angioplasty/stenting
Hi all, So I had a stent fitted (LAD) to open up a narrowing in my artery on Friday morning. Have been experiencing off and on chest pain. Not too intense. More mild to moderate pain on left side of chest. Just wondering how common chest discomfort is post procedure. It could be settling in pain where
