Hello Raffles77 Several people on here recommended Staysure….. I found them to be good. I was still waiting for some results back at the time so didn’t sign up. But the site was clear, easy to use and reasonably priced. ( I was looking at an annual policy)Regards

Thank you.
Hello and welcome to the forum!
I tend to recommend StaySure and AllClear. If you can I would suggest leaving it a bit before getting quotes as the longer the period of stability from a prodedur/surgery the lower the premium. If you are waiting for tests like an angiogram or CT scan you may not be offered cover.
I found Puffin insurance the cheapest for me. But it was after I had brought a more expensive insurance elsewhere. I found them on travel supermarket. Comparison site
Thank you
I would respectfully suggest that a good insurer is one which deals promptly and fairly with claims. Selecting a low premium company can only be considered good if it has proven to reimburse you for medical expenses in accordance with your policy terms and your expectations..I've only ever claimed on a Staysure policy and was happy that they met my expectations, swiftly and efficiently.
I used Staysure for years and had a couple of fairly minor claims paid up no problem, but after I turned 70, the premiums more than doubled. I got a quote 18 months after my hypertrophic cardiomyopathy diagnosis and it would have cost more than my entire holiday. I used All Clear once, as it seemed reasonable cover, but when I had to make a claim, I had no end of trouble trying to contact them in the first instance, and then it took nearly 12 months to reach a settlement, and they did not pay the full amount. Luckily it was only a few hundred pounds. If it had been £1000s, I'd have ended up going to court. Only use a company that pays the hospital direct.
Thank you.
I always recommend the comparison site medicaltravelcompared.co.uk - but your mileage may vary!
