Covid
Hi I’ve just tested positive for Covid . I’m on 5 mg of prednisone and 15 mg methotrexate. Is there any advice about how to manage meds while having Covid. I feel very achy and it feels like I’m having a flare. Thanjs in advance for any advice.

After 2 Nuclear Ligand treatments should I still have severe bone pain in my lower back?
My SO was diagnosed last year with stage 4 Prostate cancer. Although his PSA never went extremely high (8.0) his Gleason scores were two 8's and a 9. The cancer when diagnosed consumed his complete prostate and was found in the vertebras of his neck, shoulder and shoulder socket plus his pelvis and

Dustasteride (avodart)
My doc has prescribed this drug for benign prostatic hyperplasia. I need help with urinary frequency, urgency, and frequent night time urination. It is too early to tell if the drug is helping. It can three to six months to have the desired effect of reducing prostate swelling. I am posting because

MSA-C with ataxia rebound
I have not been diagnosed as yet. A neurologist I am seeing is committed to finding out what is causing the symptoms. I was diagnosed with large fiber polyneuropathy with ataxia in 2021. Since then dysautonomia has presented itself. Exercise for balance has really helped but unfortunately my ataxia is

Allergic reaction to Doxil, my first ever chemo infusion
Hi everyone, Has anyone experienced an allergic reaction to Doxil? Almost three years ago, I was diagnosed with stage 4 MBC. After being on hormone therapy for over two years, mostly IBrance and Letrozole, and then oral chemo for six months, my most recent petscan showed the cancer is still spreading

good morning fellow warriors. My PSA continues to move up so my oncologist ordered 20 sessions of radiation. The radiation was a walk in the park compared to the 1030-1048 Zometa infused Wednesday morning. Holy cow ! Peed (a few dribbles) every half hour. Chills then sweats. Bone ache throughout and

Doing well on Taxol. TM down by half!
I'm a long timer (20 years on 3/1/24, with bone mets since first diagnosis) and have done extremely well. Lobular bc, E + P + her2neu - at diagnosis. In 2023, it became triple negative and I was on Xeloda for a few months. It stopped working and I've been on Taxol for about 5 or 6 infusions. CA 27

hello, My mum sent me this information with the hopes that I can find support and information as I’m starting out my journey. I had been having irregular periods and lower back pain for a few months. I would take medication and just push on. In December, I had such severe pain I called my husband

Scan shows spreading despite chemo but surgery going ahead..confused 🤔
Hello alI I have stage 4 clear cell carcinoma, had a scan this week and got the results today. My gynae nurse said she could only tell me what was written on a scrap bit of paper which left me with more questions than answers (not impressed with this). I will call again next week but meantime wondered

Recurrence?im scared
I don't know where to start because I'm scared to death. I already made a post about my situation but I need to talk more about it with people who understand my situation. My mother, my beloved mother... my reason for living. In 2020 she underwent surgery for stage one seromucinous adenocarcinoma

Covid has just hit our Thanksgiving plans!
My daughter just called to tell me she was just diagnosed with covid and can't come to our family gathering😪! She's a teacher and during the school year I rarely see her--she's too far away for me to go to her! This comes on top of the news that I do in fact have another met on my brain, likely

Hi ladies So….. I had my scan results from 23rd December yesterday . I was told by Onc nurse that the cancer was stable ( it is inoperable) My CA125 at diagnosis back in March 23 was 9000 but during chemo treatment there was a steady decline and prior to the scan it stood at 2000. I don’t understand

When to restart Biologics after Covid Infection
Tested positive for Covid ( for the first time) last Wednesday. Was able to access Antivirals by Friday and by Monday was testing negative. Finished Paxlovid this morning. Should have injected Abatacept at the weekend but obviously didn’t! Just wondering what people have been advised re timing of restarting

Long-term health of bypass grafts.
Hi, Feel slightly fraudulent as I’m fit and healthy, after a bypass in 2016, but I’m just curious for any insights / opinions re one niggling question. I do fairly intense cardio every other day (mostly) and my BMI’s at the top end of normal. For my age - 61 - I’m fairly fit. My question is: do those

I recently had more scans and unfortunately my cancer has spread to my lungs and more in my liver. My bone mets are not to bad but two active ones in my T2 and Right hip even though I had recently had radiotherapy on them again for palliative pain relief. I have been on four lines of treatment in 17 months

Xeloda Anxiety
I was supposed to begin Xeloda today. For some reason, I am paranoid. First, I'm thinking my dose is too high. I weigh 168 pounds, 5’4” and my team has me scheduled to take 2000 mg twice a day. I think that’s a lot. Anyone else similar in size to me taking this high of a dose? Am I just paranoid. I
