Bone Marrow Transplant Aftermath
The experimental bone marrow transplant for prostate cancer had no positive effects for me, as far as we can determine, but I keep getting new chronic side effects, which are likely explained by the bone marrow transplant. First it was loss of the ability for my body to regulate my temperature effectively

T-Shirt has arrived.
I am now the proud owner of my new t-shirt which I intend to wear with pride. Not to be out done by, I have just ordered up one for my wife to wear at the 5000 liver transplant party in June.

Immune suppressants side effects
Hi, anyone on here ever experienced chronic diahorrea and weight loss from taking Myfortic which I was changed to last September from Mychrophenalate which had the same side effects reason for change to above, but my weight loss wasn't as severe.(1/1/2 stone loss) This problem has been ongoing now

Kidney Transplant Survivor for 14 years! It's been a great ride...but I now need a new Kidney.
After 14 years as a Kidney transplant survivor I recently learned that my transplanted kidney function is decreasing, and I will eventually need another transplant. But hey, I knew this day would eventually come and I have been preparing for it. The next stage in my life will not be easy but ‘m expecting

QE's 5000 Liver Transplant Celebration
I mentioned a few weeks ago about the forthcoming party on the 15th June, to celebrate the 5000 liver transplant carried out at the QE. I of course shall be going, and am already looking forward to meeting up with all the staff who basically saved my life. While I know that most men don't concern themselves

Hello!
Hi everybody! I'm Dave from SW Michigan. I was diagnosed with HCC about 15 months ago. PVVT meant no surgery or transplant. Has a Y90 procedure done last July in Ann Arbor. It killed 75% of the largest tumor but there was 2 new tumors in my lungs on the last MRI so the Dr. put me on Nexavar. Been taking

New to the group but not PBC
Hello everyone. Just a brief something about myself. Diagnosed with PBC stage 4 in 2007. Wasn't able to take urso but did well for nearly a decade. Had liver transplant in 2016 and now have (probably) recurrence. Basically I've run the gambit and going for round 2. Everyone have a great day!

Concerned
My son is 3 years post kidney transplant & his creatinine has never been really stable. He starts to creep up & they do a biopsy & everything is normal. He drinks a gallon of water a day. He will end up going back down only to go up again. Anybody else seen this?

Lung Transplant
I am 58 years old. My Pulmonologist says I may need a lung transplant if the meds I’m on don’t show any signs of the lung scarring slowing down. I would like to know if anybody close to to my age had a lung transplant?I am skeptical about major surgery when you’re not young.

Good evening lovelies I had a kidney transplant a few years ago and the quality of it is deteriorating and I’m beginning to feel the effects of this which is also having an impact on my attendance at work. I don’t have a full time contact with work due to my body being so unpredictable with having SLE

My husband has been battling liver cancer since 2016
I am new here so bear with me. This has been an extraordinary journey filled with a roller coaster of emotions. From terrifying, low points to highs with those that have taken the journey with us in support. My husband has endured multiple radiation and chemo embolizations, was multi-listed for liver

Lung Transplant listing...
For those who already know 20 months ago I was told by Papworth that I was severe enough for a transplant but due to a damaged Oesophagus due to reflux I didn’t qualify!!! Last March I broke down in front of my respiratory consultant and told her that I felt I’d been let down by the system. She personally

Question
Hey everyone, my boyfriend was diagnosed with stage 4 CKD last year, he has about 25% function left. It was such a shock to us as he is only 32 years old.... Since his diagnosis I have been canvassing the internet about information regarding kidney transplant. From what I read I think for a healthy person
