Pain, pain go away!
I'm in pain already from going to "school" i called the clinic where I go to for my treatment. I go to dialysis 3 times a week for 3-4 hours or so. Then I had a pneumonia shot making it even worse. I'm in so much pain both arms. Sometimes I'm thinking how long I could still hold on this challenging trials

Diagnosed as IgA
Hi I am 27 and was diagnosed as IgA with Creatinine 10.8, I haven't started dialysis but will probably start within a few months. Dr showed this community to me and I saw a lot positive stories here. I guess I have to start my own fighting journey.

Further to my last post on cleaning your CPAP machine. As I do not sleep well, in the morning I always have a little water still in the tank, I add a drop of washing up liquid to this , with the addition of a little white vinegar, if you have no left over water , then fill up as usual with cool but boiled

Peritoneal Dialysis
My husband and I are training to do PD. He had the permanent catheter implanted and it is working fine. Someone recommended that he should get a fistula in his arm as a backup. Is that usually done?

Excited to have found support!
Hello...I am the mom of a 30 yr. old son in need of a kidney transplant. It is so hard to see him go thru dialysis among everything else he has had to go thru. He is strong and handling it better than I am. I know it's not about me, but would love to hear from other parents who have children or young

New to all this
Hi everyone x this is all new to me, I was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in May this year, I have had medication since July. I finished taking them on the 1 October. On the 10th my bloods came back as normal 👍👍👍👍 I’m so happy and can’t thank medical staff enough.... unfortunately it’s left me with Cirrhosis

Question of the week
What have you learned "along the way" that might help others? What advice would you give someone starting dialysis?

I’m new
I’m new here my Father just got labs back and his bun is 92 and creatin is 3.63 we’re heading to the doctors today. He’s 92 and has stage 4 kidney failure stage 4 COPD and heart failure. Do you think the doctor will recommend dialysis or hospice? I know no one here is a doctor but I’m struggling right

Salty Behavior
I have been on dialysis for over 10 years and I still crave salt. I eat small amounts of straight salt throughout the day. I have talked to doctors and they act like its no big deal. That its just a behavior that I can stop. I didn't do it before I had kidney failure. Never even had a need to add

Pre Dialysis and scared!!
Hi! I was diagnosed with Kidney Disease in 2008 and just recently progressed to End Stage Renal Disease. I am pre dialysis but I think that will be changing soon. I'm scared of what the future holds for me and I wanted to join this group to talk to other people who are going through the same things

RLS & more
I've partly got my RLS under control with a combination of medication (Ropinirole 2mg and pregabalin 25mg + 2 co-dydramal tablets) taken early evening. I also use a magnetic underlay on the bed. Most evening the RLS kicks in between 19.00 and 11.00. And usually ends after 3 to 5 Hours, though occasionally
