Permanent AFib
Started on Digoxin .25 daily for past six days and cut Lopressor down to 25 twice a day. Am going to try to wean off. HR 80-110. Generally do not feel well and am going to revisit ablation. I had blurring of vision and dizziness on higher doses of Lopressor alone. Last cardioversion only lasted

Remission
In remission since May 2018. All PSA testing from oncologist has ranged from .04 to .05. Why not have my internist take my PSA yearly? Or is going to my oncologist for testing the better way to go?

Cholesterol and QRISK score
My GP has just completed my annual review and has referred me to the GP specialist Pharmacist to discuss statins. My cholesterol has always been well controlled with a reading of around 5 (I was told my good cholesterol was excellent). This year it has increased to 5.16 and he has also completed a QRISK

supplements for a fibs???
Has anyone here used magnesium or L arginine for atrial fibrillations? If yes, and you had good results, what were the dosages and how often daily? Thank you.

Not a PMR question but I’m hoping someone here can help. Sorry it’s a long post. I have been off pred for a couple of months and all is well, fingers crossed. I was offered, because I am now 70, a health check by the local surgery and asked for ESR and CRP to be checked too. They are good but my

Thrombocytopenia
Hi all, I have just been diagnosed with autoimmune thrombocytopenia, which is very low platelet count and can cause bruising and excessive bleeding. Diagnosed with PBC in 2018. Just wondered if anyone else has this as I know that we can be prone to more than one autoimmune condition.

Wellue 24 hr monitor
I've been using the wellue 24 hour monitor for about 6 months it's a very useful device as it is small and you just place it on the left below the collar bone with ECG sticky pads after the 24 hours you upload it to a program that you install on a laptop.I recently had a reading that includes short

Dealing with an AFib episode without meds.
I was diagnosed with Paroxysmal AFib by an Energency Dept Consultant who ordered certain tests to be done in the future and sent me home with Anticoagulants. I wasn’t given any advice on how to manage an AFib episode or a follow up consultation just a letter to say my test results were OK.A year later

Heart rate smart watch
Hi,I have a 2 lead pacemaker for total heart block following AV ablation and 2yrs later since the procedure I'm in heart failure & afib and take ramipril, bisoprolol, dapagliflozin and having a few issues, which has resulted in me having to attend the pacemaker clinic 3x in last 3 weeks. I struggled

Worried about low heart rate now
Ok so I posted up before because was a bit anxious about my heart rate anyway. I have just started and only completed one run on last Tuesday. I felt so wiped out the days following that. I have a doctor's phone consultation on 30th which I originally booked just to get the ok to go ahead with C25K

changed time of taking Clopidogrel.
Since starting to take Clopidogrel at night, alongside Atorvastatin, I noticed an increase in ectopic/irregular heartbeats. I decided I had endured the anxiety associated with the symptoms long enough so am now taking Clopidogrel in the morning and my Atorvastatin in the evening. The result is…..a much

Anniversary of varices bleed
Up until 23rd December 2022 I thought I was quite well and healthy and rarely needed to visit our GP. Out of the blue on the 23rd December 2022, I started to vomit up approx. 3 - 4 pints of blood, as you can imagine my wife and I were in shock from the whole episode. Following an emergency admission
