Is a combination of drugs the answer?
Having been on Prami for years, I tried Ropinerole which did not work for me so the Rotigotine (3mg) Neupropatch was great for a while until this summer when clearly augmentation set in again. I had a lot of sleepless nights until I discovered it worked well with 2 co-dydramol (plus one Senekot to help

Ubiquinol (pure form)
Hi Ladies I read it starts with the egg in June so I bought one of the recommended brands (Jarrow Formula) and took 400mg per day for just under 3 months before ivf egg collection. In that cycle, 8 eggs were collected and 5 fertilised. All fertilised eggs made it to day 5 but just one blastocyst, which

Vitex and Myo inositol
Hi I have SLE over the past 9 years. I have PCOD and hormonal imbalance. I am trying to conceive for the past 3 years. But all the treatments failed. I tried IUI also. Now I am planning to take vitex and Myo Inositol supplements to cure hormonal imbalance. Is it good or bad to try them with lupus?

Interesting to read the post just put up on Levodopa (Co-Careldopa) I have just been prescribed 1to 2 nightly12.5 mg. I argumented on ropinerole almost a year ago and have been on pregabalin but there is a good chance that this has caused me to lose my peripheral vision. I have just weened of that

BP meds interference?
I'm taking Losartan Potasium, Lerconidipine and Atenolol for very high blood pressure, and cannot have the surgery I need until it's normal. I've been taking Dihydrocodeine for severe, full body RLS for nearly 20 years, but recently, the bed-time dose I take around 12.30am is only lasting for about two

Does L-Tyrosine also cause augmentation
I have recently come off an OTC L-Dopa supplement because it was causing augmentation. I'm trying to get my dopamine levels to restore naturally and am wondering whether I should take L-Tyrosine (which is the amino acid building block for L-Dopa, found in eggs, cheese, meat, etc). I would be doing so

Opiate use and sleep.
This is a link to a study/ warning of the dangers of opiate use. Related to sleep quality and breathing problems. It is not a major problem for the low doses used for refractory rls. It is really interesting that it recognises the use of opiates for rls and the distinction between that and the much higher

DIL vs SLE - Anti Histone Antibody
Hi everyone, Been awhile since I posted so blessings to you all! I'm posting this in the hopes someone has some knowledge of this topic or knows someone who could answer some questions in more depth than I can find online. As some of you know, I have a bit of a weird storyline that led to my diagnosis

GCA
Hi, another newbie. Had mild pain in temples for around 8 days and been to hospital for bloods. They think could be GCA and have prescribed 50mg steroid which I will get to tomorrow. Biopsy is TBC Bit scared to be honest. I’m 46yr male usually fit and healthy? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Detective Work
After having repeated exacerbations, my consultant has discovered from sputem sampleas that I am suffering from "entrerobacter" and "pseudomonas". She has prescribed Ciproflaxin for the latter and in the meantime is arranging for me to have nebulised Gentamycin, the other drug Tazocin can only be administered

Plaquenil and dry mouth
Plaquenil is helping some of my lupus and mctd symptoms, but it seemed to trigger dry mouth. I need to have glass of water to sip on in the middle of the night. Has anybody else experienced this side effect of plaquenil? Or could it possibly be Sjögrens?

More help please
I have posted here several times and have had wonderful help. Now I need more please. I have been trying to get back to more sleep , having gone through hell getting off the dopamine agonists. It is over 3 months since I began withdrawal, which took 6 weeks to be totally clear. Currently I am on Gabapentin

Felcainide vs. Tikosyn
I've been on flecainide since my ablation in July, 2017. I still continue to have episodes of afib and aflutter which can last a few minutes to a few days. My cardiologist would like me to switch to tikosyn but is leaving the decision up to my EP. I'll be seeing my EP soon and would like to discuss

Small sores that will not go!
Just want some advice please. It’s my third month on Ibrutinib and all going really well. However, I have a few small sores on my hands, one on my nose and one on a buttock that just will not heal up. Saw a GP on Friday, never met anyone so bored by what I was saying 😠 and he prescribed Fusidic Acid

update on my Homeopathic remedy treatment
I was diagnosed with PMR in March this year (2019), took Prednison ( 20mg) until August, tried to taper down slowly, but had to start over because of flair ups. Had an appointment -- consultation with a Homeopathic Doctor for 3 sessions and intensive interview. Took one pellet of Causticum, which was
