After having repeated exacerbations, my consultant has discovered from sputem sampleas that I am suffering from "entrerobacter" and "pseudomonas". She has prescribed Ciproflaxin for the latter and in the meantime is arranging for me to have nebulised Gentamycin, the other drug Tazocin can only be administered by IV.

Does any body on this site have similar problem?

Thank You

Bob

Yes. All seems spot on for the bacteria you have. Do you have bronchiectasis?

pseudomonas is very hard to get rid of and quite dangerous as it feeds of lungs that are already battling against other infections.

Hi Bob, I have pseudamonas and bronchiecstasis and take ciprofloxacin when I have a flare up. If I'm very ill I'm hospitalIsed and have iv antibiotics. I sometimes have Doxycycline tablets. Take care. Lizzyx
