My 22 month psa after radiation treatment (SBRT) is 1.25. What should my nadir be? Less than 0.5?
I just had my PSA test yesterday (8/21/20) and the number is 1.25 as compared to 1.69 on 3/19/20. I was diagnosed with PC in July 2018 with Greason score of 7 (4 + 3). I had radiation treatment (SBRT) at UCLA in October 2018. I am 70 years old. I have enclosed my historical PSA from 2012. Please

My cancer has come back in my chest bone!
Hi, it’s 8 years since I has HER2 grade 3 breast cancer and chemo and a mastectomy on my left side and on a Tuesday my breast consultant told me I have secondary breast cancer in my breast bone. It hasn’t spread anywhere else yet and I am due to have radiotherapy but my bone consultant is on holiday

Follicular thyroid cancer
I was diagnosed with a benign goitre back in 2015. After noticing they had grown I’ve had further investigations and then a partial thyroidectomy. I have been told I have follicular cancer and now need to have the rest removed and potentially nuclear iodine. My tumour was encapsulated in thyroid but

Just finished radiotherapy but feel overwhelmed
Hi everyone This is my first post here and hoping for a little guidance/advice. I was diagnosed in May with grade 3, ER+ HER2- breast cancer. Lymph node removal showed no spread, so lumpectomy and radiotherapy, along with taking Tamoxifen (oncotype result 17, so no chemo). Haven't felt too bad physically

BCR - what might be next ...
It was bound to happen – came as no surprise (although you could hope for a different outcome). My PSA has jumped dramatically, in the last 6 months. Previous reading was 1.7 – jumped to 3.2 a week ago - no reason to believe that the rising numbers are going to stop 'naturally'. I was on an ADT holiday

Recurrence after Therapy for Oligometastatic Castration Sensitive PCa
New study below [1]. SURPRISING STUDY RESULTS ? - PSA Levels Before Salvage Radiotherapy and Outcomes With Long-Term Antiandrogen Therapy in Prostate Cancer
This recent published study surprisingly? portrays that a higher PSA following RP and early pre salvage radiation theray (pre-SRT) has a better outcome using ADT than a lower PSA - anyone have thoughts on this ? Conclusion from the study: The investigators concluded, “These results suggest that pre-SRT

Given all clear re Lymphnodes 8 months ago, but sentinel node biopsy didn’t work, now they have found cancer! Has anyone been through this?
Hi, My wife was diagnosed with BC, she had it removed and had a sentinel node biopsy, was all clear. 8 Months later an ultrasound revealed cancer in a Lymphnode. She just had 8 nodes removed and they found microscopic cancer in 3 other nodes. They are sure it was there from the start. They have tested

POST Radiation PSA movement
I just received my first PSA result, 7 weeks post Radiation Therapy. The number is .01. My 1 month and 3 month PSA post prostatectomy were also both .01, then it crept up to .03 at 6 months. That was 4 months ago. At that point, mostly due to my high rick Decipher we decided to start radiation therapy

Cavitating lesion
I had a lobectomy 9 years ago and (foolishly) thought I would have no more problems as all my scans since surgery have been clear. Breathing has always been a problem due to emphysema, but has lately got worse - X-rays, CT Scan and now PET scan show I have a 5cm "cavitating lesion" in that same lung

Update on my brain Mets
Hello friends. Here’s the latest on my brain Mets treatment protocol. Last MRI showed multiple tiny lesions and some larger lesions, largest of which is around 2 cm. Total is around 21. So my radiation oncologist decided to do whole brain radiation therapy (WBRT) over 10 days followed by SRS after

A positive test.
Now it is the final day of Sharon's self-isolation there is little fear of poking providence with a sharp stick anymore. Last week I reported about there being 5 positive tests with carers, that were carried out the previous Wed, at the nursing home where my partner works. That Sunday Sharon went to

Article
Hi all, So I’m really excited! I have written a patient perspective article about radiotherapy and acute and late effects and it’s been accepted by a medical imaging journal for their special edition which is out later in the year. I mention PRDA UK 👍🏻🙂🥰
