Diet advise to beat rectal cancer
Hi guys! I am 26 years old, and I got diagnosed of rectal cancer in 2 months ago. It was said to be 8cm in size, but localised. I have had two doses of the chemotherapy treatment already, and still have others including radiotherapy scheduled. I would like to know if there are things to eat, and diet

Looking for a good MO specializing in prostate cancer treatment.
I have been receiving treatment at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota for the last 3 years. Urologist is Matthew Tollefson. As psa is just starting to rise after radiation therapy, 6 months of Lupron and a 6 month period of being undetectable, I am thinking that I should have a good MO involved. Any

Fatigue
My mum has terrible fatigue to the point that she couldn’t move out of bed this morning. She eventually got up and has taken it very slow and easy all day, but she says it feels like all life has been sucked out of her body. She’s due to start second-line treatment a week tomorrow after the chemo/immunotherapy

Dexamethasone and Enzalutamide
Hi everyone! Dad is currently undergoing radiotherapy on his lower spine due to compression. They have also prescribed him dexamethasone. I have read there is a moderate interaction meaning that it decreases effectiveness of the Enzalutamide. Does anyone know of this and should it be of concern? Thanks

HIPEC
Has anyone here had, or knows of someone, that has had HIPEC for metastasised stomach cancer? My husband has one metastatic tumour 4 yrs after his gastrectomy. It is in an awkward position and 6 months of standard chemo has had little effect and they’ve had to lower the dose of radiotherapy for fear

PET scan / Cancer has returned
At the end of 2019 I stopped immunotherapy and all was quite well with my lung cancer. I was left with a 19mm tumour that was "inactive" the cancer had gone from my lymph nodes. Roll forward January 2021 after a CT scan it had shown 2 lymph nodes in the middle of my chest had enlarged to 2cm plus each

Supplements and Radiation Therapy
I am 69 and was diagnosed approximately 4 months ago with locally advanced Ductal Adenocarcinoma of the Prostate, Gleason 8, with seminal vessel involvement. I've been on Eligard for 3 months and had blood tests yesterday but I don't have any results to share yet. I also had a CT SIM yesterday in preparation

Post SABR (SBRT) side effects
My father underwent 5 rounds of SABR alongside a 4-month injection of Lupron. He finished his last radiation treatment on Feb 18th. The last three days he has been experiencing a lot of gas and diarrhea. I messaged the radiation oncologist and he suggested Imodium and the BRAT diet. Anybody have any

Radiotherapy Bleeding
Hi everyone, My dad is is currently half way through palliative radiotherapy on his prostate. He said he's started to see blood on the tissue when he wipes. He says sometimes only a bit then other times a bit more. The radiologist said this is about par for the course at this stage. I suppose the main

Bone Pain Remedy
For those unfortunate enough to have had bone pain, was you able to remedy it? And if so how ? My Dad has had some sharp pain running up outside of one of his legs around the side of the calf when he walks and some pins and needle in both feet. Obviously nerve irritation or bone infiltration could be

After the BCR and the ADT vacation – All the tests results are in – it's curtain time - what comes next – what to do next ?
A quick background review … Started out as 'I can't pee ! - a TOTAL urinary blockage. Dateline March break- 2017. Spent 4 months in and out of emergency wards with out of control UTI's, a catheter for 4 months (which I was taking care of with NO CLUE as to how to manage it) and no urologist or

Leg cramps during/after ADT.
Perhaps unrelated? I am curious to see if anyone else has this issue. After radiation treatment (no surgery) I was treated with Lupron for 2 years. About halfway through, besides the normal side effects, I developed leg cramps during exercise, even a short walk. Calcium and Magnesium levels are normal

Running during radiotherapy? Is it possible?
Anybody have any experience of running during radiotherapy? I am starting radiotherapy in about 10 days, and was wondering if anybody has managed to keep running during treatment, or were just too knackered? I have done 2 shorter runs this week ( 2k and 3 k), prior to this I haven’t been able to run

You're okay until you're not
You’re okay until you’re not they say regardless of the trend. After a disappointing PSA last week I spoke with my RO and Uro about the results. I have great respect for the Uro and he knows my concerns well as we have discussed my fluctuating PSA many times. He believes the numbers are just incremental
