Insurance company refusing to pay out saying my Lymphoma is related to my CLL
I was diagnosed with CLL 14 years ago and had been on W&W for 12 years before I needed medical intervention. I was successfully treated with Alcalbrutinib and my CLL has been under control ever since. As I am self employed, I took out an income protection policy about 5 years ago, knowing that my CLL

P-Afib from cancer treatment causes different part of heart to misfire.
Hello Everyone,So I was diagnosed with P-Afib nearly 7 years ago. Beta blockers were a disaster and made me exceedingly ill.....Once on a calcium channel blocker, Verapamil, things however settled down. At the time I was told Ablation isn't an option for me as it could be my heart is misfiring due to

28 day versus 3 monthly Zoladex side effect -
I am wondering about the different side effects experienced by any others here on 28 day monthly goselerin (Zoladex) implants as opposed to the 3 monthly version. I have had 5 monthly implants and note that the fatigue and muscle aches seem to subside somewhat 2 and a bit weeks after the implant. It’

To treat or not to treat
In 2017 and 2019 I had SBRT to two bone metastases identified using a PSMA scan. No other sites were identified. By March 2020 this had caused my PSA to drop to virtually undetectable and I decided to come off ADT which I had been on (with some breaks) since April 2011 after RRP and RT to the prostate

My sct progress
Here's an update on my sct. I had my donor cells 31 Jan following 6 days radiotherapy and 5 days chemo. My neutrophils have crept up in the last 3 days to 1.15 which is good. However I am really down because of the nausea and am regretting my decision unless this improves

Duration of ADT needed with salvage radiation
6 months? 24 months? New data from the "Formula 509" trial shows that hormone intensification with adjuvant apalutamide+abiraterone+ADT for just 6 months with salvage radiation therapy (SRT) may be all that's needed: https://www.prostatecancer.news/2023/02/duration-of-adt-needed-with-salvage.html

Choose Capivasertib or 177Lu-PSMA-617 clinical trial or stick with ADT + radiation?
Hi Folks, My PSA is up to 49 from 24 last summer. After bone scan, CT scan indicated 3 sites of mets (2 on pelvis, 1 on L5, overall “low volume”). Otherwise feeling great, working out most days. 58. I was finally able to get in this month to see a Medical Oncologist. Starting on ADT next week. Meeting

Elreada: minimal effective dose
Hi, PSA has gone from .32 in July 2022 to .52 in October to 1.99 in January. Worried that decapeptil is failing. NHS consultant has been on at me for two years to go on abi etc. Have resisted as unlike the Moffitt (which makes sense to me) in Tampa the SOC in the UK is to pursue maximum tolerated

Rising PSA after radiation and ADT
Hi All, I was diagnosed with PCa in April 2022 (Gleason 3+4). My PSA was 28. I was given a 3 month shot of lupron in June 2022. In August I had 20 sessions of IGRT - Image guided radiation therapy. These are PSA levels: 0.56 (Sept 2, 2022) 1.6 (Dec 27, 2022) 5.3 (Feb 14, 2023) Should I be concerned

Immunotherapy
Having had a lobectomy a few years ago on right lung, I now have 2 opacities on lower left lung. As there had only been one lesion seen on lower left lung I was offered radiotherapy. After last scan which showed another lesion adjacent to the first, I am told that 'radiotherapy is off the table'. At
