I am wondering about the different side effects experienced by any others here on 28 day monthly goselerin (Zoladex) implants as opposed to the 3 monthly version. I have had 5 monthly implants and note that the fatigue and muscle aches seem to subside somewhat 2 and a bit weeks after the implant. It’s a nice respite ! The question is do others notice this and is it something that is real or psychological? My issue is that 3 monthly might not give the same respite - or at least only after many more weeks. I know it’s a bit unusual to have the monthly ones for long but it just happened with me as they weren’t sure if I could cope with the standard 18-24 months ADT due to my other conditions but seems I am probably able to - so going for it, given my G9 high risk and radiotherapy course.

Hi Sim, From my personal experience of being on the 3-monthly Zoladex for over two years now, is that I notice no highs or lows of anything. I just deal with the SEs as they come.
My theory is that once your gonads have shrunken to useless, the SEs are all pretty constant.
I couldn't be bothered with monthly, as 3-monthly comes around soon enough!
Enjoy the ride of your life! It's the best! 😉👍😀

The fatigue and muscle aches are a result of the muscle wasting that testosterone suppression causes, not the drug itself. If your T is remaining consistently low (hopefully <10ng/mL) then any variations in side effects are psychological.
Weight bearing and cardiovascular exercise will alleviate the fatigue and soreness far more effectively than the timing of ADT administration or anything else.
I am on Zoladex 3 monthly also & the SE seem minimal however the hot flushes seem worse when the drug is wearing off. I was on Firmagon monthly which had the least SE but every month injection & soreness at the injection site was a turn off for me.
