Adhd med with low side effects wanted
My 11 year old has ADHD and ASD. He was on Vyvanse for 5 years and ended at 40mg a day. We took him off because although his focus was good, the side effect of him being grumpy instead of his usual happy personality was getting in the way of him socializing. We tried Concerta at 27 mg a day and he was

Family with ADHD son in need of help
Good Day. I am hoping that I can find advice on these forums as I am at my wit's end. My son was diagnosed with ADHD at about age 5. At first I did not want to believe it and was opposed to the medication that was being recommended to control it. I have had a bad experience with medications first

New here, with my diagnosis.
I have just had my letter from the hospital with the results of my CT Scan.aThe CT scan shows significant narrowing of at least one of the main coronary arteries and also one of the coronary artery branches. My consultant has asked for an urgent coronary angioplasty. The report shows heavy calcium

Caffeine and Concerta
Don’t know why I didn’t think of this before but I backed off Concerta from 54 to 36 mg. Was better yesterday from side effects but had more caffeine today and feeling irritable, jittery and all over the place. I’m guessing cutting back on caffeine would help?

Concerta working or making things worse?
if Concerta doesn't seem to be working and it actually makes some symptoms worse at 54 mg dose after a few weeks should I continue to try taking it or does that mean it's just not gonna work? It seemed to help just a little at a low dose so my doc increase it. Now I feel irritable and nervous and

Hi! Just joined and could really use some help and support.
First, I apologize for my long post. It has been difficult to find support, so I'm kind-of pouring it all out right now. My 8 year old daughter was diagnosed with ADHD right before the pandemic hit, and while we have several concerns and lots of questions, we do not have much support to address those

Inattentive ADHD and Medication
My son was diagnosed in late in 7th grade. He spent one full day/ 8 hours with a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist and we receive a report that included all educational testing. No other issues or comorbidity. Moderate AHDH predominately inattentive. Never thought or know about ADHD. Anyway, I spent

I am not sure how I am liking the Concerta. It literally makes me feel extremely TIRED and then irritable because I am uncontrollably TIRED it almost feels the same as if I took my Trazodone in the middle of the day (which I do not take Trazodone anymore)!!! Constant headache as well!! My doctor firmly

Recently starting medication
I just recently started my child on Concerta and have been having mixed feelings about putting him on medication to begin with when he was diagnosed with ADHD (attention and organization shown the most). I didn't want to jump to medication and wanted to try other approaches first, but I'm still finding

Could This Really Be Undiagnosed Adult ADHD?
Hello, I am new here! I will be turning 30 years old within the next few months, which sounds like no big deal except for the fact I feel like when I look back on it all I never really accomplished much or completed much etc. What brought me here and to the conclusion that maybe ADHD played a huge

Anyone realize undiagnosed ADHD may have been the problem your entire life? Were you conditioned to not even question anything was "wrong"?

ADHD update
Hey everyone! I just had an appointment to check up on my meds. My methylphenidate aka Concerta. That’s the brand I take. It’s working, though the side effect of suppressed appetite is apparent. I’m at a healthy weight and the doctor and I agreed to watch it. My anxieties are still there and I can

New Diagnosis
Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with ADHD about a year ago and wanted to reach out. I have been on and off stimulants but I seem to have the strangest side effect from them. My neck always gets incredibly stiff and tight when I am on them, even at small doses. I have tried Adderall, Ritalin, Vyvanse

Looking for ADHD coach for my 20 year old son
My son turns 21 in July and he suffers from ADD predominantly inattentive. He was diagnosed in 5th grade and has been on Adderall and Vivace over the years. He can’t take concerta because he’s allergic. He functioned on meds until his junior year in high school and then he started self-medicating with
