Biopsy results from Colonoscopy
I have just had my results of the samples taken on 12th June. No cancer thankfully. I have widespread diverticulitis which has aggravated my ' focal active colitis'. The colitis might be self-limiting. This was news to me as I didn't even know I had colitis. I have been referred back to my GP and they

Beta Blockers and Vagal Afib
So in a small comment on a blog a year or two ago I saw a doctor state that beta blockers can actually irritate vagal afib. As I was coming up to my colonoscopy last week, I started taking 1 atenolol in the morning again just as a safety thing because I was worried all the digestive uproar would cause

Hello all, I joined IBS Network as I am a member of MPN Voice through Health Unlocked. I haven’t been diagnosed with IBS but seem to have the symptoms. Since my periods starting back when I was 12 I always bled from my bottom. I never knew that wasn’t normal as it always happened to me until one day when I was about 17 I actually sat and questioned it and asked Google. Endometriosis was what come up and I was petrified as it has no cure. I have had

Inteferon benefits
While my platelets refused to budge much on Interferon since stopping it the joints in my hands and feet have become painful my hips and lower back ache. My skin is much dryer and nails more brittle. I have a colonoscopy booked next week once done I will restart the dreaded HU. It will be interesting

Periods after birth
This wasn’t normal for me, prior to birth, I was regular every 28 days and bled for 5-6 days I am currently under the care of my GP, have had bloods taken, examination, and have
colposcopy
booked and pelvic ultrasound… But I’m trying to understand in advance, what could be possibly causing this?

colonoscopy
so had my colonoscopy yesterday. They only gave me a half dose of sedative due to the asthma and breathing problems, but it was fine. I’d say uncomfortable with occasional dull pain and easy to cope with. They found a large polyp, which I could see on the big screen, which they removed and sent off for

How difficult is it to diagnose Adenomyosis?
Hello, I hope you are all well and surviving the heatwave! Long story, but for 6+ years I have been experiencing worsening gynaecological pain. This started during ovulation and was a fullness within the pelvis and sharp pains within the rectum and to the lower right of my back/abdomen. Gynae referred

Internal Bleeding
Hallo :) On June 13th, I underwent a gastroscopy, which showed the presence of hiatus hernia and hypertensive portal gastropathy, as well as gastritis. Multiple duodenal biopsies were taken at that time, which were normal. Last week I underwent a colonoscopy, which more than explained the heading to

sharp pain inside right hip - ibs?
Hi, I’ve jumped over here from the thyroid forum. For a few years now I’ve suffered on and off from a sharp, twisting pain to the top and inside of my right hip. I can also get quite sharp pains in my back, lower down but I’ve yet to work out if this is related or not. I cannot seem to connect his

Disappointed
Hi I've just found out I have severe anemia which is preventing me from having a long awaited operation I have been given iron and folic acid tablets. My GP who had no idea about my anemia until the hospital through the pre operation tests found it even though I had bloods done in March with my GP ?

Abdominal pain.
I’ve been a weekend binge drinker most of my life, I haven’t had an alcohol since 2019 but three weeks ago I had a seizure and was taken to hospital. I had an abdominal CT scan last year which I was told was ok apart from cysts on liver and kidneys, I also had a colonoscopy and gastroscopy last year

Clear colonoscopy but chronic active inflammation shown up on CT scan.
Hi, I'm currently being investigated for the possibility of bowel disease. I had my colonoscopy on Friday and I didn't really get the answers I wanted. I guess it's one step back. They didn't see any ulcers (my first colonoscopy from 2020 showed TI ulcers) and no inflammation (A CT scan from April this

Miralax..
So I posted the other day about having to get a colonoscopy, and I'm worried it will trigger my aFib. Now I'm guessing it won't be the colonoscopy but rather the 240grams of Miralax they are telling me I need to take in the 24 hours prior to the exam. I called into the office 2 days ago and the doc

Really struggling to go, getting worried
Hi Guys, I'll try to keep this brief. 2 years ago I was doctoring with left sided bowel pain. Had scan and colonoscopy and diagnosed with impacted bowel although I though I was going OK. Tried numerous things but eventually put on Movicol and had been on this for a whole year. Towards the end and now
