Rectal pain and poo talk (hopefully not too much info) 💩
Hi, I have recently been diagnosed with rectovaginal endometriosis via laparoscopy. Although I have several other symptoms, my bowel symptoms are what affects me daily. I suffer with constipation (in terms of difficulty going not frequency) and what can only be described as excruciating rectal pain

Why do I keep having alternating IBS-D and IBS-C?
This is my first time posting on here I normally just try and read the advice on other peoples posts to try and help my IBS symptoms however I seem to be spiralling out of control with them and I'm not sure what else to do/ try anymore. I'm hoping any of you might have been through something similar

hello
so this is a summary of my journey with IBS. I hope it may be of some interest. I experienced much uncomfortable constipation as a child, I remember it quite well. And I also experienced episodes of uncontrollable and occasionally explosive bowel movements of diarrhoea . It caused some difficulties

3 failed coloscopies

colonoscopy perforation risk
I saw my PCP and told him there was rectal bleeding and he immediately said I need a colonoscopy. However, the last time I had one I almost got a perforation. The doctor had to stop the procedure. That was a year ago. During the procedure I felt a burning, searing pain which was not normal so I know

what to try next?
I could get the mirena since that isn't supposed to have as much of a systemic effect, but the position of my internal scar tissue means even cervical screening causes extreme pain (I have to get it done at the
colposcopy
clinic for their gas and air lol), so I'm wary of anything which would need inserting

colonoscopy and endoscopy concerns
I am scheduled to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy in 1 week. My last colonoscopy was 8 years ago and the two colonoscopies before that found nothing but hemorrhoids ( all colonoscopies were pre CLL diagnosis in Oct of 2017). I have never had an endoscopy but I do have a cough that seems to start after

Health anxiety - realised I took the bi annual bowel tests wrong!
Gosh I worry ALL the time about my health.I had a letter to tell me to expect a kit for the bi annual bowel test. I realised that I did it wrong last time by sticking it in rather than scraping the side so I probably had a wrong result, or would it have picked and positive result from this way? I know

HOSPITAL ADMIN
I know many of us can complain about bad admin in various NHS and private hospitals and I have many stories from the NHS but so far have had very little problem when using private hospitals. When I know I have a long wait for tests or procedures I often use Benenden healthcare - I have no complaints

anismus
I have chronic constipation. I think it is casued by various muscles not relaxing as the symptoms fit what I have read online. There are vaious names for this, anismus, dysssergenic defaecation and obstruced defaecation. I looked on this site and this is one of the groups that seems appropriate to post
