Tired of all this 'Shit'
So on top of what feels like my five billion health issues - IBS and BAM, I had a test a few months ago and was told I have inflamation of the bowel. Doc wanted a second test to be done. When result comes back, if it's the same as the last, I will have to have another colonoscopy. Good times !

Hello - first time posting here and looking for some advice. I recently had a bout of what .I had previously been told was dysentery for the third time in 5 years, where I spend 18 hours V&D passing quite a lot of blood. My gp finally sent off tests this time which have come back negative for infection

What a week
So I had my full body pet scan on Wednesday, it all went ok other than me being traumatised at having the thing in the first place . I was then sent to a&e on Thursday after a sudden onset headache that I sat with for a week & now I'm having a colonoscopy on Tuesday lol why is my life like this ?!? 😅

Gastroscopy and Colonoscopy for CKD patients
In December my stomach had a reaction to antibiotics. Generally, I feel better, but doctors thought it might be a good idea to have screening tests due to my age, 56. My mother died at the age of 57 due to ulcerative colitis becoming cancer, and so that is another reason. Normally my GFR is around

IBS Anxiety
HelloI'm new to this and I can't believe how many people are suffering with IBS or similar. It's astonishing! I'm 65 and have been managing it for 15 years when it started at the age of 50. I've managed it quite well with food, supplements, trial and error, and realized some time ago that symptoms

Ulcers in terminal ileum
Hi, I've posted on here a couple of times, so I won't repeat myself! I had my gallbladder out in June 2020 and developed severe diarrhoea. GP referred me to Gastroenterology (currently going through the IBD route for a diagnosis as my calprotectin levels have been elevated). I had my second colonoscopy

gastroscopy or endoscopy
hello, as part of early tests on my upper digestive system I’m to have a gastroscopy in the few weeks to look for damage or cancer, is a gastroscopy the same as the endoscopy? I will be having a colonoscopy in four weeks so quite close together. Reading the info I’m required to lie on my side but

Sertraline positive fit test
Hi I'm beside myself with worry as my partner has had a positive fit test, and is booked in for a colonoscopy next week.. He's been on a high dosage of sertraline for 13 years without a break, and I know there's a link between ssris and gastrointestinal bleeding...I'm wondering if anyone else has had

Burning
Hi I have burning in the rectal area. I have IBS with constipation. I had 2 colonoscopies within 3 years from 2017-2019 and all good. I was having a uncomfortable pressure gas sensation on my left side above my colon for a long time. That’s why he did the colonoscopies . Then I first experienced burning

colonoscopy safe with lowish platelets?
I just received news that my fit test was high and had detected blood and I have been referred under the 2 week cancer pathway. My platelets are lowish around 106 and red and whites at the lower end of normal. I have had 2 x 3 polyps removed, 2.5 years ago and 5.5 years ago. 2 were adenomas, and removed

Cyst on ovary
I recently posted here about pain on my left side after an ulcerative colitis flare. I’ve been having this pain since October and was given antibiotics for diverticulitis. All my other UC symptoms are now gone and a colonoscopy and CT scan have ruled out any further bowel issues but the pain is still

Colonoscopy tips?
Hi all, After having a successful lap in November, I was referred for a Colonoscopy which is now coming around in a few weeks. I was wondering if anyone could share any tips / advice, and let me know what your outcome was (good or bad) if you also have Endo and had to have one?
