Non cirrhotic portal hypertension
Hi everyone! I’m looking for a bit of advice on some question I haven’t solved yet. Basically, my whole story started about 2 months ago (july/2020), when my mom started feeling unwell and thought it was due to a umbilical hernia she has. As she was treated for colorectal cancer 14 years ago, she pays

Anyone been diagnosed with IBS even with raised calprotectin?
Hi, I’m pretty new here. I’ve recently (Last 6 weeks) been suffering with constant stomach pains and cramps. I’ve been going to the toilet only once a day, but stool is very soft and occasionally has mucus. I’ve never seen blood. Bloods have come back fine but fecal calprotectin was 722. I’ve been referred

Dabigatran and tummy trouble
Hi there! I have been on Dabigatran for over two years and have just been told, following a colonoscopy and endoscopy that I have stomach ulcers, gastritis and patchy bleeding in the stomach. I also have suffered with worsening diarrhoea now for about a year. The gastro consultant has recommended Omeprazole

Seeking second opinion from specialist centre due to confusing diagnosis
Hi, I have managed to get my GP to refer me to a specialist endometriosis centre. Unfortunately no clinic appointments are currently available on the online self booking system so am waiting for a call back from the clinic. I had also asked my consultant gynaecologist to refer me to the specialist centre

I don't think I can take this anymore
I was first diagnosed with silent GERD, then Chronic Colitis. Next came Diverticulosis, Gastroparesis, Barrett's Esophagus, Gastritis, and IBS. My symptoms continue to just get worse and worse and every doctor after 3 colonoscopies say I need to change my diet. I've had diarrhea for over 2 years now

Colitis is getting me down!
Very low mood today. Wonder when this will all subside! Had to come back to bed the discomfort is just too much. Lower and upper right. Mucus had subsided a bit but still hasn’t disappeared Just seems bizarre and not common of colitis to just have constant one sided discomfort and just a bit of

2 years on and still struggling
I had a very awful PE August of 2018 from Birth control use and have never fully recovered and very tired of crying to my GP what feels like round the clock. First I was told recovery would be quick once I went on treatment after being hospitalised , resuscitated and treated for heart attack until extensive

Agonising stomach pain
A bit of background - I was diagnosed with IBS-D around the age of 10. I'm 23 now and in the past few years my IBS-D has gotten considerably worse. A year ago I was referred to a gastroenterologist because I had started bleeding whenever I had a BM. It started out small and I kind of ignored it but

Scared about tests
I have to go for a colonoscopy this weekend and the thought of it is really stressing me out. Does anyone have any reassurances for me?

BAM and SIBO
Hey all I just had a call with my GP to ask for some tests for BAM and SIBO. My GPs response to BAM was that they don’t test for it - anyone else had this issue? For SIBO she said to try probiotics which they recommend for the treatment of it - anyone else had this too? I’ve had all other tests

Colonoscopy Prep today. Anyone else?
So I have my colonoscopy prep today and then tomorrow is the big day. I am so super nervous. My nerves have almost got my mind off the reason I’m going to get checked. I have weird pressure in my anal cavity. It hasn’t gone away in 3 weeks and this is its second recurrence. I’m nervous for the prep,
