Graduation Present to myself
When our daughter was born last Christmas she was rushed to the neonatal intensive care unit with congenital pneumonia and a
collapsed
lung
. Whilst it was well within the capabilities of the carers to fix her, I am sure that without their help she wouldn't have made it to this Christmas.

Good Morning and a very happy sun shiny Monday :D Tis quite blowy out there today but at least it's blowing what few clouds we have away to reveal a beautiful blue sky above them. Another fresh start to the week, for those of you on your first day of quitting, today quite often starts with excitement

Being admitted into hospital
An X-ray showed that a lot was going on in my
lung
. A further scan showed that my left
lung
had totally
collapsed
and there was a blockage in the airway. I am now due to go into hospital on Thursday for an operation to remove the blockage.

Lung transplant from living donor?
My boyfriend's cousin had a heart and lung transplant a few years back, and now her lungs have failed. Doctors have now told her that there's nothing more they can do and have given her 6-12 months. She's in her 20's and has two young children. My boyfriend wants to look into the possibility of being

CT scan showed shrinkage on tumours in right lung phew!! I'm not getting too excited as they are still there and have spread from left lung but it is worth a mini celebration as the last ten days of waiting has been a very anxious time. Am having last dose of Carbo/Pemex tomorrow and then see Oncologist

Hi. A 7cm mas was found in my right lung on an xray 3 weeks ago today (9th July).
I have since had blood tests a CT scan with contrast and a bronchoscopy with biopsies. They could not get a tissue sample because my lung has an infection and is inflamed so I am waiting for a needle biopsy at Cheltenham. The oncologist has said that there is a growth and also a nodule so thy can not

Diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is there any hope?
All the surgeons want to do is cut pieces off my lungs, can't see the point when they tell me there is no cure and a long wait for a lung transplant. I have heard of clinical trials but not sure how to get on them, please help I am 36 and have a life at the moment.
