Bloating - Zoladex/Tibolone
Hi I have been on Zoladex injections for a year now and have had add back HRT (tibolone) for about 6 weeks. The add back HRT has really helped the hot flushes & muscle pain but over the past 2 weeks I have been suffering with awful bloating which increases when I eat or drink anything. Has anybody else

Post IMRT PSA Check
Hello, I went for my 6 month PSA check today. This is my 3rd check since IMRT was completed in May 2023. Prior to IMRT, I was at 4.31. The next 3 results were 2.12; 1.12 and today's 1.15. So I know its gone up 0.03 this time. I'm aware there are bumps along the way as explained by my medical team and

I'm happy to have advanced prostate cancer.
...well, rather than having brain cancer, or lung cancer or pancreatic cancer... In contrast, CaP is the one to choose. Oh.... we didn't choose? Most likely it was Dow Chemical (or one of the other 9 entities that produced 2-4-5-T (Agent Orange) that gave this to me. Nope, no military. I was drafted

Update recent PSMA
Docs did it to me again with the usual bad news. Uptake in new lymph node locations in pelvis. the radiotherapy failed, and preclude more treatment on new nodal areas. (according to Docs.) So expect to add to ADT, abi or enza or darolutamide in a short while, with PSA going up on a fast double.

CV and Bone Health when ADT is a treatment option.
Thought this provided a useful framework to guide discussion with my medical team when discussing whether or not and what to do about CV and bone health when starting on ADT. https://www.urotoday.com/conference-highlights/eau-2024/eau-2024-prostate-cancer/151136-eau-2024-synchronous-mhspc-what-are-the-treatment-options-and-what-are-the-goals-of-treatment-what-to-test-before-start-of-hormonal-treatment-and-what-to-monitor.html

Pain everywhere.
I've been 10+ yrs searching for answers. I had some bladder problems in 2013. Doctors did surgery. I almost died. Apparently they told me my blood vessels looked funny. They didn't know if they "knicked " me or what but I lost 8 pints of blood very quickly. They barely got me transfusion in time. I chalked

Latest thyroid test results
Hi everyone, After being underdosed on 25mcg of Levothyroxine for almost a decade, my new GP increased my dose to 50mcg around 6 months ago. The increase was done slowly over 6 weeks, as advised by people in this group. I had some blood tests done two days ago and today I got a message from the GP saying

Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate
My foley catheter has become extremly painful lever since I did a round of IMRT back in March. My urologist is reluctant to intervene but the catheter has become so painful that he is considering a TURP so that I can possibly rid myself of the foley. After doing a bit of reasearch I read an article

Treatment options
I am 47 years old diagnosed with PC last month with Gleason score 9(5,4) and was advised ADT treatment with Bicalutamide and followed by Lupron 30 mg after two weeks. PSA was 77 in Jan and dropped to 23 after starting ADT treatment and already feeling better with much less urinary symptoms. I was advised

What is done in this case ? ADT not working
In may of 2011 the PSA and Biopsy showed that I had an agressive cancer with Gleason 8 so my prostate was extracted and after this I received radiotherapy. Since during the following 9 years my psa continued very low, I suspended checking it and last september I received the surprise that it had increased

Long story short- long battle to get diagnosis although received in 2019 and Hashimoto’s confirmed. After several attempts to stabilise on mono therapy I was lucky enough after several years of strife and illness to be allocated an endo who listened to me, took cortisol levels (low) addisons test (

Cystoscopy post salvage radiation
It's been 2 years since I completed salvage IMRT to surgical bed and pelvic lymph nodes. My MO recommended I have cystoscopy after reporting 3 very small clots during 1 week in urine (about size of crumbled picecs of corn flake). I decided to have one as curious to see what looked like post salvage

Some advice please
Hi, I'm in surgical menopause and have not felt 'well' for a number of years now. I won't bore you with the backstory of my trials and tribulations with HRT, all in the pursuit of feeling well enough to fully function. I've questioned Thyroid for some time, I had tests last September and posted them

Hi all It’s been a while since I posted on here. But I have a question regarding sleep. I have ET, Jak2, had it 7 years, and at the moment take aspirin and hydroxy. Had my telephone consultation yesterday and was pleased to hear my platelets are the lowest they’ve ever been at 355. Even though I

darolutamide monotherapy experience?
If you’ve had darolutamide mono therapy, I’m interested in your experience with effectiveness and side effects, especially compared to ADT like Lupron.

How you can help make ibrutinib plus venetoclax fixed duration therapy a reality for Australians with previously untreated CLL
In Australia, no new medicine can be listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) unless it has first been recommended by the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee (PBAC). In March 2024, PBAC will again consider a submission to recommend a 15-month combination therapy of ibrutinib plus venetoclax
