Possible hypothyroidism, No Thyroid and on 50mg Levo since Nov 22
Hi I've recently joined and very interested to see so many interesting posts. I wanted to ask if others with no thyroid are on such a low dose of Levothyroxine. In 2014 following a thyroidectomy I was started on 150mg and have been reduced steadily down and am now on 50mg as my TSH each time reduces

I don’t understand my diagnosis as it’s changed from being overdosed by opiates (hospital error). Now it’s change.
In 2019 I was found on the floor & I don’t know or recall nothing. I could not see as I had balloon out so big that I was unrecognisable. It was a while to get my sight back but I was also told that I was had Liver failure. All my different consultants got together and realised that I was on so much

Stumped
I had my gallbladder removed on 31st August this year. Since then I've stuck to a very healthy low fat diet. No junk food, processed food, carry outs or sweets. My problem is I seem to struggle to have a poo in the morning?? It's a real effort!! I was on dihydrocodeine for back pain and decided to come

Upsetting visit to A&E chest pain bradycardia
Hi all. First a piece of good news. One of my daughters finally got a diagnosis of Hashimoto’s and was prescribed Levothyroxine last week. That’s as far as the good news goes regarding doctors. For over a week when I lie down in the evenings I develop chest pain, nausea, tingling hands/feet etc

Thiamin
Hi, my gp has prescribed Thiamine, she hasn't said how long I need to take it for ? I have a little bit of fatty liver, but that's all I know, what sort of question should I be asking and how worried should I be?

How Long Before Improvement?
I was diagnosed with AF a few months ago and before that only really knew something was wrong back in March when I found I got out of breath walking up a hill that normally would have been fine. Anyway, yesterday I had my first cardioversion which was successful. Today I went out for a bit of a gentle

Diag with NAFLD Cirrhosis from biopsy, doctor said theres no difference between a 15kpa and 30kpa fibroscan score, confused?
Hi guys, I had a fibroscan score a couple months back of 30kpa which I took to suggest I had fairly advanced cirrhosis, had a biopsy which confirmed cirrhosis, when I was told the results I asked for liver doctor if given my fibroscan score of 30kpa it meant that I was far gone and could expect to become

Fatigue after eating

So scared of skipped heart beats.
Hello. This is my first time posting here. I will share a little about myself and skipped best history.I have been having them off and on since my 30's, I am now 66. I have worn a couple of holter monitors and a 7 day king of hearts monitor, results usually show PAC's, PVC's and atrial runs. I have had

Surgery cancelled
Hello. I have posted before about being overweight with AF and the fact that I am too heavy for an ablation. I have been on a weight loss pathway with the nhs for 5 years culminating in weight loss surgery booked for yesterday. The surgery organisers had spoken to my cardiologist and confirmed that

How effective is cardioversion for Persistent AFib?
Thank you to all those who have recently posted replies to my recent question ‘Has anyone had problems with Flecainide not working?’. Your answers have clarified the some of the options to discuss with my cardiologist, hopefully in a couple of days. I propose to gradually stop taking Flecainide but

Nutrition regime with LD
Morning all. Recently diagnosed with stage 4 decompensated liver disease with all the expected symptoms. Taking all care to reduce stain on the liver, spleen etc. Now just getting the hang of chronic long term care. Awaiting full prognosis (still some months away still) prior to transplant discussions

Worried about COPD
hello all I’ve been suffering from breathing problems - short of breath sometimes - with a tight feeling around my ribs, like I need to undo my bra. I’m having tests on my heart but all seems ok so far, just waiting to have an angiogram in a couple of months. I’m an ex smoker, gave up in April, so I

BP raised, after advice from Beta-Blocker users.
Started Bisoprolol 3 weeks ago (2.5mg), brought BP down to 109/72 pulse 49. Doc decided to cut me back to 1.25mg BP was stabilising around 125/78 pulse 51. However, tonight felt a bit heady BP coming in at 172/93 pulse 53. Too late to contact my surgery, do you think I should take another 1.25mg of

ECG can anyone take a look at this for me ?
hi to all. I have PAF and have had some kind of episode today but my Kardia monitor is not recognising it as AFib, also normally my HR goes very high ( 160+) but today it has stayed low ish 55-65. So I don’t think it was AFib but I felt very feint like I was going to pass out . AND although my Kardia

Update.
Hi all. Been a bit quiet recently as I have had some issues. I had what I thought was heartburn a couple of weeks ago along with shortness of breath. After tests anECG and chest x-ray it is probable that I had a silent heart attack. Being monitored by the hospital. I have been exhausted recently so had
