What exactly is Thyroid Peroxidase?
I wondered if anyone could answer a question for me? In 2012 I was tested for Thyroid Peroxidase antibodies which came back positive, and Hashimoto's equates to the presence of antibodies to thyroid peroxidase. Previously I seem to remember that the enzyme Thyroid Peroxidase is involved in the conversion

Thyroid Results Received
Hello All. Further to my post a few days ago I have now received the results of the complete thyroid tests I had done here in Moscow just after I posted. As I wrote last time, my impression is that I have a B12 problem, which probably explains my symptoms of brain fog, balance, fatigue etc . Nevertheless

Help Assessing Results - Low T3, Low Folate
Hi all, first post for me, and what a wonderful and supportive forum this is. So happy I found it. I’m hoping some of the experienced thyroid analysts could come out and offer their thoughts on my blood work. My Dr. flagged a few things, among which was low T3, and low folate, and said some conventional

Would welcome thoughts/opinions on latest blood test results and new prescription of 25mcg levo
Hi all My last post seemed to cause confusion so I'm going to try to be clearer with this one. For clarity (and with respect and thanks to those who took time to respond), I know that people are often misdiagnosed but I definitely have Graves so I don't need any comment on whether this diagnosis is

TPO antibodies
My range normally comes back at >600 but this time a number came back (maybe changed lab) but it’s 25,900 so I’m assuming that my thyroid is still under attack. My symptoms are under control so not feeling bad at all but wonder how long it will take for total destruction?

Hyper/Graves? Need help with results
I would appreciate it if anyone could take a look at these results, especially the TPO, and give me their opinion. Been on Carbimazole since 12/11 - started on 5mg, increased to 10mg on 29/11 and 15mg on 10/12. At 1st Endocrinologist appointment 10/12 I was told that the TPO levels indicate Graves.

Begged for Thyroxine, Dr doing Thy Antibodies 1st with repeat T4 TSH
Im on route to my Drs... This is my third blood test since 19th November. Tried to explain to my Dr that Im out of range "high" for TSH 4.55 (0.27-4.2) And Im low at a T4 of 12 (was 10.8) the bottom of range (12-22) so ideally thyroxine could help me up into the top 25% for T4 etc He just suggested

We are new to this site and hope to find some answers thru researching. My husband was diagnosed in 2010 after extensive testing.
We live in British Columbia, Canada and at this point in time have heard of only 1 other case here. At our local Hospital he is "N of 1". There is no expert and it just keeps getting worse. I believe it was triggered by a very bad cold/flu in March 2010. At first it looked like the measles and it didn't

Low B12, TPO antibodies but doctors insisting it's MS
Hi all - new here You guys know so much so I'm hoping for your take on what's going on with me. Any advice on what I should do going forward i.e. getting B12 injections from GP when I'm "in range". Doctors found some demyelination on my brain MRI. Immediately the doctor said MS (probably). This was

Pain in legs
On holiday I was diagnosed with cellulitis. I was given clindamycin and the redness and swelling reduced quickly. 2 months later however I’ve been left with pain in both legs that stops me walking and doing any exercise. Ive been checked out with doctors who are at a loss to explain what it is. They

Been a year+ since I posted, help figure out test results?
So I'm still feeling terrible and know i've hashimoto's despite my tests. A bit of a rundown i've recently been sicker and sicker on gluten and finally decided to take my tests+ celiac since I couldn't tolerate it anymore. I'm a bit let down as my results have betrayed me again. As for my B12 I suspect

Toxic Thyroid nodules
Hello I’m just looking for some advice or other peoples experiences with treatment for toxic thyroid nodules. I have just had a Radioiodine uptake scan which shows a large ‘hot’ nodule on left thyroid and possibly a small one on right. Trab and tpo antibody tests were negative. I have been having hyperthyroid

Blood Test results - Not sure why I'm feeling this unwell.
Hello, lovely people! I had my bloods done via Blue Horizon. Did the finger prick, (but wish I had done Vacutainer as despite sending same day (normal first class) they were not able to get a result for CRP or folate due to sample degrading). Anyway, these are the results taken whilst on 75mg Levo

Waiting for Endo appointment - in the meantime?
Sorry another question but you guys are really knowledgable about all this! I posted my results on here previously and you guys said you feel I have Hashimotos but am in a hyper flare. I went to my GP and asked him to run the other antibodies as suggested here but he refused and said I have to wait

Post natal check & low Serum Folate- how to supplement?
Morning all, I've recently had a few blood tests to check levels as I gave birth nearly 3 months ago- I only started taking levothyroxine the month I got pregnant so I wasn't sure what my non-pregnant medication level should be. Fortunately Thyroid levels seem ok (if I've understood the results correctly
