Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies
Hi, Not a question regarding myself. My sister had some blood tests several years ago when experiencing a range of symptoms, including thyroid blood tests. One of her tests was for TPO antibodies. She was within the normal range, but had some TPO antibodies. Is this a reasonably normal thing, or

Going back to the beginning
Hi All, I have decided to start from the beginning again in looking at my thyroid function. I was originally one of Dr Peatfield's patients and have been taking T3 daily for last 10 years. Dr Peatfield diagnosed me with hypothyroidism 10 years ago, but I never got a diagnosis on the NHS as my TSH levels

ERA test or just transfer final frosties?
Hi all, We've just had our review after the last transfer ended again in a BFN. While had the usual list of things it could be but no certain answers about why this one didn't implant, our consultant actually recommended the ERA tests. A bit of a summary - I'm now 40, have low AFC so only ever got 1

CONFUSED
I’ve just been told by my Surgery’s Clinician that my TPO is 310 but a normal reading would be 34. This has scared me somewhat but he is arranging for me to see an Endocrinologist. Can anyone enlighten me please.

If anyone can help my dad interpret these numbers it might enable him to ask some intelligent questions when GP calls next week. Thanks
Hello again! I’ve asked a lot of questions on here lately and have received some really helpful and sound advice. This time I hope you can help with my dad’s reasonably comprehensive results. His thyroid hormones have been going awry for a couple of years and GP has just been monitoring. He takes no

Success! Folate supplement has finally increased my T4 to T3 conversion!
Hi all, Just to update..I’ve been on Aristo T4 for one year now (thanks to a European GP who joined my surgery briefly, who prescribed me when all the other GPs in the surgery refused for 10 years as my TSH ‘wasn’t bad enough’ (it was 4.9 at worst - but even at 2.5 I felt awful) However, despite increasing

Query on my bloods please…
Query on results. I had a four point saliva cortisol test and was actually expecting then to be low….(we took them prior to starting me on meds for Hashimotos…still haven’t started any meds yet….) My cortisol levels were very high in the morning, high in the two afternoon tests and came right down

Hi again! Thanks for lots of help so far! My gp tested my thyroid function tests but I’m going to ask if they did my t4 and t3 after getting advise here. Thanks! Can the tsh be normal but t4 or t3 be abnormal and what would this indicate please? I’m trying to find out if I have thyroid antibodies

Advise needed. 27yo
I’m new to all this. I feel very disheartened my TPO has come back at 507, my TSH 5.02 which is lowered from my 5.37 in November and my T4 14.8. I have a huge amount of symptoms and my doctors have said I look to have autoimmune thyroid disease but I’m not at a level to be medicated or to get a referral

New to Thyroid Disease
Hi there, I am new to the world of Thyroid disease. I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism however my numbers for the tsh are only slightly elevated, however I have TPO antibodies of 502. With >50 being positive. The doctors still aren’t talking about Hashimoto being an option as I’m only 25 years

Reference Ranges
Good morning! I am sure I'm overlooking this resource, but I can't seem to find an easy-to-read reference range for thyroid testing. I've checked NICE and the American College of Endocrinology (I'm in the US), but I can't seem to find it. My doctor's appointment is tomorrow so I made a list of everything
