First Chemo - Advice/Suggestions
Some important points I have gathered via the forum are:
1) To ice the hands and feet, have ice chips if possible 2) Take
Claritin
on the day of Chemo and a few days after? (for Neulasta pains) 3) Keep a check for fever above 100.

Neulasta
Took
Claritin
last night and this morning to help with the supposed bone pain that will come. I’m dreading any chest pain or breathing problems that may come as a side effect of this drug. Anyone else have good/bad experience with Neulasta?

Claritin + Aspirin + Curcumin
Just a few days ago someone wrote about taking the supplements of
Claritin
, aspirin, and curcumin. Where did you get the information that these would be helpful? What dosage do you take? My onc isn't on board with curcumin, but I'm willing to talk with her again.

Oncologist said no additional medicines besides
Claritin
. So he has to suffer through it lol! Don’t want to put anything through the liver that isn’t necessary. Love you all! Just venting xoxox

Very close to kidney failure and my allergies are driving me mad
My allergies are so bad right now and I've been taking
Claritin
every day but it's not helping much. I've heard the shots are much more effective but not sure if it's safe. Any info would be great. Thanks!!

Is anyone on Essential Oils for W&W?
I'd been on
Claritin
for a year and it did help... but I've read of test results that
Claritin
and Xanax long term resulted in 30% of participants developing dementia. I have been taking Xanax for 30 years for sleeping only...addicted, so would not stop.

Asthma or not?
I was diagnosed with viral asthma on 10 September and I’m on the blue (since 10 September) and brown inhaler (since 14 September). I couldn’t get an asthma nurse’s appointment till a couple of days ago. She took a history, did a spirometry test (ok), watched my inhaler technique (good), told me my chest

Constant head pressure.
So I stopped taking it cold turkey, got put on Cymbalta from my regular doctor and she also told me to start taking Flonase and
Claritin
daily as she thought my head pressure might be allergy related.

claritin

Hello out there
I can control the pain with
Claritin
but it dose resolve all of it. I asked not to have it. I was told no Neulasta no chemo. There is times the Neulasta had not brought the counts up enough for chemo so, it’s to risky and dangerous to go without Neulasta.

She also advised me to take
Claritin
3 to 4 times a day when I feel a wave a rash hitting me to take care of it fast before it becomes itchy. I thought I'd share in case any of you is suffering from the same thing and wondering what it can be.

Interesting Thought....maybe it's the Lupron.
"Oh, they didn't tell you to take
Claritin
?" to which I replied WTF...I don't have sinus congestion....to which he insisted it would help...we got it and my unbearable pain went down from a 10 to a 2 in just an hour.

First Week Following First Chemo
Took more
Claritin
and dexamethasone, but it di not help much. Thankfully, I have maintained my appetite throughout. I also still have my flowing locks of gray hair (ha ha). I know, I am still early in the process. I am hoping that the flu like symptoms go away.

PD and food allergy
Last Saturday I got hives on my right arm and leg, my neck and face; I take
Claritin
but hives go and new ones are coming. I have them for a week and does not seem to stop the new ones. Two years ago I had similar situation but in a week they were gone. Anyone has this issue?

Nagging Nausea
She’s on phenergan, trying
Claritin
(we saw that on here) and the motion sickness bracelet-no relief. She take some OxyContin for the pain (low dose, am and pm). Anyone else have this nausea? Also, what do you take to manage pain. Love and Light to all! Thanks!
