Blood Test for vits (and thyroid)
Hello all. Following advice from SlowDragon, got GP to agree to Vit testing as T3 low and as SlowDragon though they would, they drew blood for Thyroid levels , too! Must say here, too, after GPS lowered my Levo, because I had too many hypo symptoms return, I upped the dose from 175 to 200 as on 200

Fast heart rate today
I've been back in AF for 4 weeks, and my pulse was 80-90ish most of the time, but this afternoon and evening it's gone up to 100-130bpm, and feels really uncomfortable. I'm on 7.5mg bisoprolol and 20mg rivaroxaban. In my first bout of AF I was on 10mg bisoprolol and my pulse always stayed below

Random heart rate spike but no missing beats
Hi, does anyone else get random heart rate spikes for no reason which come straight back to normal range? My resting HR is 60, I was just brushing my hair and it spiked to 130, I felt dizzy, could feel my heart pounding in my throat. I couldn't feel beats missing when I felt my pulse. Blood pressure

Weight loss, skin breakdown with burning pain
Anyway, have had
ckd
symptoms this week with intake. Couldn't eat usual amount without nausea, palpitations and elevated bp, so I backed off intake for 2-3 days. Symptoms reduced but now skin burning on coccyx and hips.

Supplement danger awareness regarding kidney disease
II first found the Kidney Disease Foundation website when I was wondering if
CKD
is reversible. My primary care doctor ,an internal medicine doctor, says it is not reversible. I wanted to double check that just in case there have been new discoveries in kidney disease reseearch.

Afib Stroke Risk Lower in those that take Statins
Statin use is usually associated with a reduction of cholesterol and heart attacks, but a new study also shows an important additional benefit -- a significant reduction in strokes and TIA's in the Afib population. Something to discuss with your doctor if you're not already on statins, especially

Frustrations
My energy levels were low going into PD due to severe depression and a host of other ailments all contributing to my
CKD
. It was my understanding once I was on dialysis and being properly medicated for the depression and other issues, I would be feeling better.

Hey guys. Glad to find this group. 81 years old- Diagnosed 7 years ago with a Gleason 9 The Onc's finally scared me into having a radical but I refused to let them take my nerves. They told me I would be gone in 5 yrs. In retrospect wish I hadn't had the radical. Info and options were very hard to come

beta blockers and anticoagulants
Medscape posted a long article about a research on beta blockers and how few RCTs have been done on their efficacy for AF. It was hard to interpret but seems that for some folk they make AF worse and for many the side effects are too negative. Thereās also an article on over prescribing of anticoagulants
