Permanent AF Again
Morning everyone. I have never posted to the forum before although I do try to read some of the posts. I hope this is OK to post. I have permanent AF and to be honest, it sucks. I was diagnosed back in October 2017 and had several cardioversion procedures, an internal cardioversion, cryo ablation

I am a 72 year old female who was diagnosed with AF in January 2021. I had my second ablation on 26th October this year and have been in NSR ever since (thank goodness and long may it last!) ozurdex and prednisolone
I am on long term steroids for polymyalgia rheumatica on a dose of 6mg. I am due to have Ozurdex injections in the future and wonder how this will affect my steroid load as I have steroid induced tripe 2 diabetes? Not sure if anyone here will be able to help. Thanks

Sick of feeling ill
I am on Edoxaban and Verapamil 120mg only. Since 2021 when first starting beta blockers after having a pacemaker fitted I've had nothing but trouble. The GP's don't have an answer for me with various differing ' diagnosis '. I've posted before and at this moment in time have pretty much constant chest

Post Ablation breathing difficulties
Hi all! So, I’m 11 weeks post my (first ablation) and I seem to be one of the lucky ones with zero Afib symptoms since the procedure. Long may it last! But I’ve been having breathing issues ever since the op and wanted to know if others have been in a similar position? Generally my chest just feels

Hello everyone. My husband has recently been diagnosed with RA related Interstitial Lung Disease and is very short of breath but not on oxygen. At rest his O2 sat is mid 90s, sometimes higher. It drops with exertion but quickly recovers. We walk 1 to 2 miles a day. When I tried to add this condition

pace and ablate and the rationale of doing it
I’m due to have a pace and ablate done Pace maker on the 21 st of December Followed at some point by the ablate the reason behind this action is so I can come of drugs and my legs swelling will ease or disappear but I don’t suffer from AF other than odd tiredness and swollen legs ( made worse

Cardiotoxicity in patients treated with acalabrutinib
The latest edition of the journal Blood has two articles that highlight the issue of cardiotoxicity in patients treated with acalabrutinib. The cardiotoxicity of ibrutinib has been well recorded but the situation with the newer BTK inhibitor, acalabrutinib, has been less clear. In the first article

Good news for Gout
This is apparently par for the course with
CKD
, and the frequency is regular attacks. Usually if I don't catch it in it's early phases, it turns into a real painful situation and I wind up in the hospital, needing an injection of a steroid.

Been on Ramipril for 3 weeks. Got diarrhoea and cold extremities which I've never had . Tempted to stop and see if symptoms stop. Advice and experiences welcome. Is this unusual?? Will I be compromised if a stop for a few days???

Pressure on center of back as in lying down or sitting against the back of a chair etc.
I have been diagnosed with AF and have a pace maker. Recently i have found it uncomfortable to put pressure on center of back and it brings on palpitations and short breath and an irregular rythm.I have an emay portable ECG . I could send a printout.

Finally an answer-Mucin 1 ADTKD
She was referred to a geneticist who finally solved our
ckd
mystery with a simple blood test that looked for a newly discovered genetic mutation that causes
ckd
. If you are like me, I highly suggest you check out autosomal dominant tubulo-interstitial kidney disease- ADTKD.
